Chosen Solution I have a Mac Book Pro that I was given to service. What had happened, was that a full glass of red wine was spilled accidentally into the keyboard, thus ruining the computer. I’ve given just about everything an incredibly thorough Isopropyl (Alcohol) cleaning. I replaced the Keyboard and put everything back together, making sure all the screws were put back correctly, and that the connections were solid. However, to my surprise, even after the cleaning and even double checking of connections…It started; I could hear the boot tone, and the fans and HDD were spinning, but the screen was acting like it wasn’t getting power....

Chosen Solution I replaced the digitizer, it went flawless. But I had accidentally cut the home button flex when closing up. No big deal I just took it off and used the old flex. All was fine. After sealing it, reconnecting the battery, I forgot to unplug it from the computer from when I finished last time. So I just unplugged it and it seemed fine. After I closed the screen, I pressed the power button and noticed the Apple logo and all, looked normal....

Chosen Solution Just finished the trackpad replacement. Works great. Two foot pads have come off the bottom part of case (rubber). I see you have replacement lower case panel, however, is there source for just the foot pads. I had to spend $99 bucks for two rubber pads. Thanks. This is the DIY help forum. Chosen Solution So I dropped my Iphone and the screen shattered, i mean there was glass on the floor. I continued to use it for a few days until i got a new phone then I put it in my room. I picked it up again a few days ago and plugged it in. Left it over night to charge. I don’t get a charging sign, and the phone wont turn on....

The system itself will load a program, stutter/hang a bit too now that I think about it. Chosen Solution I have a dead Classic 120 gig and was wondering if this can be upgraded to 160 gigs. The Classics came in a few different orientations: a thin 80 GBa thick 160 GBa thin 120 GBa thin 160 GB Having that said, you can upgrade your iPod with a thin 160 GB hard drive without changing any other parts. Chosen Solution Hi I have a phone with a perfectly working screen however the outside screw is stripped. I have tried everything I can see online and want to know if I try to prise up the screen if it will break and be unusable. Many thanks You might have to use a dremel with a dentist bit. Answering your question though, the screen may or may not crack depending if it is aftermarket or not....

Chosen Solution My loudspeaker failed on me so I replaced the speaker enclosure. This fixed the loudspeaker issue, but suddenly I can’t hear when placing, or receiving a call, either on the ear speaker, the loud speaker or a blue tooth headset. I know the call goes through as I’ve called my other phones, but as the caller I can’t hear anything coming from my cell phone either. I never had an issue in the past, so it’s something I did during replacement of the speaker enclosure....

Chosen Solution I have forgotten my password and as a result I am unable to reach my settings. I have not performed a back up and I have holiday photos on my phone I would like to keep. I have tried to perform a factory reset but I have been unsuccessful. What should I do? @preheat If you preform a factory reset you will loose your photos the only way in is to keep trying to get your password right ....

Chosen Solution I’m having a difficult time removing the y000 screws in the iphone 7. I got this bit from ifixit. I don’t feel like this bit is truly getting a good grip in the screw. I’ve stripped 2 of them on the home button. I need to remove the lcd plate and home buttom for a screen replacement. Are these bits not high quality bits? I’ve seen in other forums where they say it’s crucial to have a quality bit or they’ll strip easily....

If you feel that you cannot do this, I suggest that you contact a reputable, professional computer or mobile phone repair service and ask for a quote for the repair. It may be prudent to contact at least 2 or 3 so that you will have a better idea of the cost if all the quotes are reasonably close....

Chosen Solution The thin piece of metal above the release button (the button that releases the screen when the laptop is closed) has bent outward. I think this is do to poor handling, but I’m not sure if this is something I should worry about, and if there is any easy way to fix it. I have tried bending it back, but with out taking the laptop apart I don’t think I will have much luck with this....

Chosen Solution Hi I have a Baird ti4909dledds smart tv, what originally happened was the set would turn on, but the picture was very dull for a while but would then brighten up, I ask one of my local repairers to find out what the problem was, it came back as 4 leds had blown also a chip the controls them was faulty, which he fixed, the set came back to me and as he had reset the set I went to reconnect the smart side of the set back up, but all I got was a no signal floating round the screen, he has had the set back to try and sort, but as upto now after changing the usb/network board things haven’t changed, he is looking around to find a software update if there is one & for any other answers that could cause this, anyone out there able to help....

Chosen Solution Hi, I have big problem and I can’t find answer anywhere… I have dropped my iPhone 4s on the solid floor and after that I can’t turn it on. When I plug iPhone to computer I get apple logo blinking (it seems that iPhone is restarting again and again..). First I thought that’s hardware problem. Chosen Solution I see that Rick asked a similar question (21 Feb or so) and has not provided additional details so here is my problem, with as much detail as possible. My daughter’s PB will not charge (shows 0% in menu bar) and no green lights on the battery itself when connected to the AC thus this is obviously a dead battery. And, it does run when connected to the AC supply so I believe the DC-IN board is still good....

Chosen Solution Both my iphone 6s cameras (front and back) have stopped working after a drop, I have restored my phone because i thought it could be a software issue but it’s not, all microphones still work though and everything else works as normal so does anyone have any idea of what’s happened and what will need to be replaced and how i would go about replacing it. Though difficult to diagnose or give suggestions without being able to inspect it, I would first do what you have done…open it and unplug battery before starting....
