Chosen Solution After replacing the battery on the iPad 3 I found that the sound connector on the motherboard has broken off. Is there a place where I can get the connector soldered to the motherboard to fix it? Look locally for a reputable shop that does micro-soldering repairs. Ideally, you want to find someone local but good workmanship trumps locality. There are many shops worldwide that do this so you shouldn’t have any problems finding them....

After carefully moving the components to the old case I realized that optical drive bracket did not allow the logic board to slide in smoothly and required some angling to get in in. Then when I was closing up shop I made a second realization that the 2011 logic board simply does not have a place to connect the optical drive to the logic board....
Chosen Solution it’s a long story. i heard 3.7V Li-Ion rechargable battery has 4.2V at full charged. but i have a problem with making full charge detect and cutting off charge circuit in my situation. so i think put 4.1V to the battery all the time makes charging but not over-charging it. is this possible idea? thanks in advance. Anonymous, you can do that if you develop a proper circuit. You will need to provide a feedback circuit for the battery to manage the power to it....

The OS is not upgradable any longer so I was hoping there was a way for me to purchase a newer model motherboard, snap it in and be able to then upgrade to the newest Mac OS. You can get a SATA SSD such as the Samsung 860 EVO, plus a 2.5”-to-3.5” drive adapter to allow it to properly fit in the space currently occupied by your Fusion drive. Not that simple!...

Chosen Solution Liquid damage. Cleaned with 99% isopropyl. I think I have narrowed down the possible problem to the chip shown in the red box in the pictures. I am wondering if it is possible to fix this logic board as the chip appears to have “rusted” connections. Liquid damage is always tough to fix as you often have multiple issues that you need to work out. I would recommend trying to find someone local who has the skills and tools to fix your logic board....
Chosen Solution My headphone Jack broke in my headphone port Buddy Craig, Headphone Jack broke in my headphone port, the ink fill tube from a pen with a little super glue((inside tube only)), then push in jack over pin, let glue set, then extract,((be careful, no glue on exterior of tube)). You can do a trial fit with no glue first as some times this will also work with out the need of glue....
Chosen Solution Genius Bar informed me after 12 years of solid use my internal HD died. I installed a new 256GB SSD and tried to boot up using Time Machine backups stored on my external HD with no success. I can see the external HD at initialization but cannot get the system to boot up any further. Also tried to boot up in recovery mode. All three approaches as outlined in APPL support site, but only get the circle with a slash through it....
Chosen Solution Old hard drive failed. Ordered new Toshiba 320 GB hard drive and installed. Attempted to install OS X on new drive. Cannot erase or partition drive. I get the error: Cannot Allocate Memory. Check your SATA cable connections - it’s possible you may need to replace the SATA cable if you damaged it taking out the old HDD. If this answer is acceptable please remember to return and mark it....

Chosen Solution 1999 Jeta died while driving will turn over but won’t fire what could it be? @cassiem , which engine size,is it a diesel or gas, auto or standard trans. You may have to have it scanned to help in diagnosing issue, unfortunately it is not running as some parts suppliers like Nappa, pepboys, autozone offer this service for free, may have to have towed in. If it seems to be turning over differently then what was normal(quicker) timing belt may have broke, although there are other causes faulty fuel pump/relay/fuse, bad crank sensor, etc....

After replacing the keyboard the power button is working fine but the f key, [ key, and screen brightness control keys are not working and will occasionally produce a string of random characters with one push. Chosen Solution when put changer in to change it want take a change A lot of things to look into for poor charging/no charge. Test different cables. If you noticed the one you’re using is not “clicking” when inserted or it’s loose, then it’s most likely the cable. Also look for damages (bent usb input or damaged line). Inspect the inside of the port. If it does not go in all the way then you may have debris/lint stuck inside....
Chosen Solution I have a Blu G HD LTE phone with 8GB of internal memory and an additional 1GB of ram. I got it through iWireless. When I got it brand new it only had a little less than 2GB of the 8GB internal memory free…WTF? It came with the marshmallow version of android 6.0. I see that my original button has a copper piece in the circle indentation while the new one does not. Does the copper piece have any function? Why does the replacement part leave it off? Nothing else looks to be wrong with my power button, but I wanted to understand this before replacing it or replacing the associated cables....
Chosen Solution Replaced a couple batteries in a couple iPod touch 6 gens. They turn on and everything works but the battery even after the replacement seems to discharge really fast and I’m not sure as to why. Could be bad batteries ? Not enough solder on the battery contacts ? Any insight would be greatly appreciated . Bad batteries are always a possibility. Or it could be something in the iPod is drawing excessive current due to a fault....
