So my issue is with the screen. Also the computer fails to reset surely for I already upgrade from windows 8.1 to windows 10. I have followed your recommended steps up to #9 (replace inverter board), but the recommended part number (922-8280) is for the A1181, not the A1278, according to the vendor. Chosen Solution I was unpacking my bag at my hotel and apparently a water bottle leaked directly into my MacBook Pro I immediately opened it, disconnected the battery, and proceeded to take all of the components of the topcase out that aren’t glued in (logic board, trackpad, etc.) The main areas that seemed to get hit hard were the touchpad, and left battery. The only indicator to go Reed was the one by the touchpad I dried up all the water I could see, used the hairdryer on the topcase, left it venting until no more moisture came out, let it dry in my hotel overnight, then used the hairdryer again in the morning to be safe for about 20 minutes I just reassembled it now....

Put some pressure on the tabs on top of the LCD where the line is and see if pressure on that changes it. It might help if you post an image of what you see with your question. That way we could see what you are dealing with....

Chosen Solution I sometimes need to change the cord position to get my old Kenmore microwave to stay on or work at all. So it seems the cord should be replaced. Has anyone done this, would a cord be hard to get, and are there any issues with danger of getting shocked or anything even though the unit is unplugged? I replace a power cord on a radio, the conductor ends were looped around terminal screws so I just had to undo the screws and replace the cord....
Chosen Solution I just want to have better graphics. @dustinmichael sorry but you cannot. The “graphics card” is actually a chipset integrated on your motherboard. You could try an external USB graphics card (or eGPU) and see if that is what you need. Yes you can now install external graphics card for laptop , there is a device called Exp Gdc egpu dock. Which allow to upgrade laptop’s graphics externally.

Click on the image to enlarge If that is the case you’ll need to see if your logic board can b fixed otherwise it’s time for a new one.
