Chosen Solution I know this is an obvious and well-known problem, still I’d like to listen to some input from this community. I just replaced a client’s iPhone XS battery without doing prior research. If I had known what kind of childish games Apple was playing, I wouldn’t have accepted the job. Client is now complaining about the battery error message that keeps popping up every 10 minutes. He doesn’t care much about the “service” label in battery health....

Chosen Solution so I replaced the battery on the iPad air with a new one. I also have a new digitiser installed. I took apart the iPad including the motherboard to replace the battery, and when connecting it all back together the tiny little port for where the volume buttons ribbon cable should go into broke off the motherboard so vol rocker is not connected. continued putting everything back together and when I test the screen it remains black....

Chosen Solution Hi have Jonsered Ride On = LT2117CMA Got my new bearings and put them in. Put on new belt. Now still seems to be an issue with the pulley on the front. It judder moves then stops. Well the answer is yes & no here ;-} Yes, you can use an external drive as your primary drive but it would need to be connected via FireWire not USB. USB in this series is just too slow (USB2)....

Chosen Solution Is it possible to replace the logic board in my mid 2010 MBP with a later model? If so, what would be compatible. While browsing the parts section I see that up to mid 2012 the main hardware and ports (number and type) appear to be identical. I ask this because 1) if it is possible, it’s cheaper than a new MBP equivalent, 2) I like the fact that this model has a built in SD card reader and Superdrive and 3) I can’t upgrade to Mojave....

Chosen Solution I inherited a Panasonic KX-E603 and use it in my child care. Lately the paper roller seems loose and won’t roll in new paper. Is there a way to adjust the roller? Hi, Here is a link to the ifixit Panasonic KX-E603 Stepper Motor Replacement guide. It is useful because at Step 6. in the procedure it mentions roller wheel adjustment knobs. Perhaps you can adjust the roller wheel tension by use of the knobs....

Chosen Solution My iPhone 6 is bent and that is causing my iPhones screen to click, can I get it fixed? @josedoe , Josedoe , You may be able to fix it your self by using the disassembly guide below to take the phone apart as far as you have to, enabling you access to hopefully, carefully take the bend out with out damaging other components, also allowing to see if there are loose/damaged components, which you can replace at this time....

Chosen Solution Just replaced the fan and Optical Drive. When I pulled out the blue/white wire it looked like the connector was loose. I kind of pushed it back in, but of course the power button does not work. Can I fix it? Or is there another way to turn the computer on? If you own a pencil-thin soldering iron like the Weller WM120 you can try to solder the power switch socket at the exact position it was fixed before it was pulled from the board....

Chosen Solution I have a locked iphone 6 plus and a good but cracked screen iphone 6. I want to get the iphone 6 plus working. Is it possible to swap over the logic board to bypass the lock? Will the board fit in the iphone 6 plus? No. They are 2 different phones. Different batteries, screens, cameras, etc.

Chosen Solution I was outside taking pictures of my children in the rain. I got a lot of really good pictures, but now when I plug my camera into the computer, I can’t see my pictures. It won’t even recognize that the camera is plugged in. Help! Is the camera still working? If it is you may just have some water shorting out the contacts on the micro USB port. Take out the battery and SD card and open all the little doors/covers and let it sit in a sunny spot inside your home for a few hours and then try again....

Chosen Solution The screen is cracked and I would like to know if it can be replaced? It can be fixed. The parts are readily available, but I definitely recommend not just replacing the glass. Get the whole digitizer assembly.

Thanks for your time Jesse The guide mentioned by L Pfaff is not helpful, it teaches you how to take it apart all the way but skips the most important part: Taking the hinge apart and threading the ribbon through the hinge....

Chosen Solution Hello everyone, My pc has run into some trouble here and I think it’s toast but before I just to that conclusion I’d like some opinions from you guys. I honestly don’t know a ton about computers. I uploaded some pictures of what seems to need the green screen of death This dell XPS8500 is from approximately 2012. Things I’ve tried with no luck; booting into safe mode Restoring windows repair utility booting from usb letting the green screen sit over night Most of the menus are in the magnified state which makes it almost impossible to do anything I was able to navigate a few of them comparing them with pics from google search....

Chosen Solution if i back-off the gas pedal and then press down on it again while traveling down the highway the car jerks real hard if i don’t ease down real slow on the pedal.What’s causing this? Sounds like you may need your fuel filter replaced. When it clogs up you won’t get proper fuel flow to the engine. Could also be dirty air filter. Remove the filter and see if the prob lem goes away....

Chosen Solution Actual Model: 15-au123cl The computer was operating as normal this AM but when I plugged in a charging cable for my smartwatch into one of the USB ports it shut down. It will not re-boot and there is no indicator light when plugged in. I have tried different outlets and checked the cord, no problems there. I have tried holding down the power button for 15 seconds (connected and un-connected) with no success....

Chosen Solution Hi there, So I’m about to try and change the earspeaker of my Iphone 8, but after having read the guide on how to do this on this website, and watching videos of people changing the earspeaker, I’m becoming a little bit worried that I might not be able to complete the repair with my level of skill, which is more or less abysmal. So I checked with various third party repair shops around town, and got a couple of suggestions on how much they charge for changing the earspeaker....

Chosen Solution Just rebooted but now when I start the computer it chimes and comes up with the apple logo; the bar under the apple sign freezes 1/4 of the way through. Depending on the model, it could be a GPU issue (15"), hard drive issue (reformat or new drive will fix) or hard drive cable issue (13"). It is rarely caused by anything else, but let us know the model so we have more details....

Chosen Solution I am attempting to reinstall MAC OSX onto a Mac Pro tower (it is either a 2011 or 2012 model, I am fixing it for a friend). He deleted the OS from it, but the recovery is still available when I boot the computer and hold down alt/option, but when I select the recovery or select my bootable USB OSX, the computer seems to ‘hang’ and then it cuts the power....

Chosen Solution How come my tablet won’t hold or take any charge? Hi, Does your tab perform correctly if you have it connected to the charger and the charger is switched ON? If not can you try another charger? If the new one works your old charger is faulty. Allow the new charger to charge the battery and then see how it works on battery alone. If it does work on your old charger, then you either have a faulty battery or a faulty charging circuit in your tab....
