Chosen Solution I am wit’s end with my iMac 24" A1225 that is stuck in a constant boot loop. The iMac start’s up and hangs at the progress bar 50% point before constantly rebooting. Chosen Solution As the title says, my iMac’s base doesn’t hold the weight of the computer anymore. It’s currently stuck pointing slightly downward, and I need to prop it up in order for the display to be pointed in the right direction. Chosen Solution when i replace batteries, i always use adhesive, and the same stretchy type that Apple uses. my question is, is it necessary to use the the same amount of strips? 2 for normal sized batteries and 3 for plus size batteries? are there any downsides to using one less (1 for normal, 2 for plus)? i don’t want to get into a debate about costs or just because. i want to know if there’s any reason why (or how) using less than what Apple users could be bad....

Chosen Solution 2 thick black lines have appeared down my tv. Almost like the brightness has been turned down in these areas. Chosen Solution My iMac suffered of the infamous dust between LCD and backlight problem. I decided to follow the advice given in this post. Everything seemed fine, I got rid of the dust, until I reassembled to whole device. Upon turning it on, the screen showed massive artefacts, especially horizontal lines, making it unusable. Chosen Solution Can I replace the 2015 iMac retina display with a lower resolution 21.5 2015 iMac display? Sadly just like replacing tires you need to stick with the correct size! As you can see here the display data cable is larger as it needs to carry more lines of data! The box is the exact same size between the two images. So no you can’t swap it out.

I owned a Kanex Thunderbolt to USB adapter (only one of it’s kind) but it recently went faulty, it costs $80 and I’m not ready to spend that on a backup computer.
