Chosen Solution I have an unlocked Nokia 3310 I bought about 8 years ago and used several summers in Greece. The SIM card has obviously expired, and wouldn’t work here in US anyway. When I plug the phone into a power source, it beeps but no screen display ever comes on. How can I tell if it still works? Or if the battery should be changed? (I last used it about 5 years ago)....

What device are you testing? Your approach is fine…for continuity, it doesn’t matter whether the red or black probe is on ground....

Chosen Solution I bought a 30GB 5th Gen, late 2006 production, ipod off eBay “As Is” in hopes of using it with a car adapter I just bought so I could have 30GB of digital music in the car. If my iPod graphic battery indicator says 1/2 charged, would I expect the battery voltage across the black and red terminals to be around two volts? Chosen Solution We have been trying to use finger pressure on a small flexible circuit to mount or stick (the adhesive backside) of flexible circuit film to a rounded surface, but have found tiny air pocket/bubbles in the adhesive that have cause failure of adhesive to hold. Wondering if there is a better blade tool that is safe for flexible circuits, that has rounded edges (not sharp edges), but can apply pressure to circuit film to smooth out and remove air bubbles, other than using a non-conductive flat blade, such as non-conductive screw driver tip....

Chosen Solution Title really says it all. I also get the chime when I start it up and the backlight works. It does the same with different display. I also tried switching the hard disk but nothing seems to work. Any ideas? Thank you. Try an LCD cable. If it still has the same issue, and does the same thing with just the charger port, fan and screen plugged in, the problem will be logic board related (probably LVDS_IG_A_CLK circuit issue, usually L9080 burns out when the screen is messed with, so it sits on a black screen)....

Chosen Solution I just replaced my lightning/speaker connector on my iphone 5c. When I first checked the speaker and the earphone connector they were both fuzzy. this morning, the speaker is fine. The earbud is still fuzzy sounding. Should I simply take it all apart and reassemble? I would certainly open up the phone again and take a quick look to insure everything is okay. Chosen Solution Replaced the screen on my iPhone 6 plus 16gb and everything works. Wifi, Touch ID, Mic and front camera are fine. Back camera has a wobbly effect, making pictures choppy like the camera is vibrating. When I switch the camera mode to slow mo the camera is completly still and fine. I’m on IOS 8.1 and camera was working fine before hand. I guess just open it up and then disconnect reconnect camera....

Unfortunately the RAM is soldered to the logic board, making a simple RAM swap upgrade impossible. The only way to upgrade the RAM is to swap out the logic board for one that has 8 GB RAM modules. Since then I have lost the wireless capability of the laptop, the Ethernet connection works fine. I downloaded and installed the drivers that are available from dell support. The switch on the side of the laptop when you push it forward does not illuminate, however it does illuminate when the machine is turned off with the power still connected....
