Chosen Solution I am constantly buying things in the States to plug into a 240v country and off course the power supply is a problem. Stepdown transformers are noisy and eyesore. Not too long ago, you just replaced the 120v power supply with a same spec 240v power supply, not that I know how to do even today. These days there a circuit board comes along with the transformer. I would like to learn how power works and be able to fix it, what is where inside the unit, is there a possibility to reconfigure to 240v....

Chosen Solution Hi Guys, my iPhone took a lot of time to charge (about 10 Hours) and the charge did not hold very long (maybe 1 hour of gaming). I also noticed that if i plugged it in my pc, the battery will drain out after a while … seems like the battery uncharges faster then the pc can charge it. So i thought it might be the battery and i replaced the battery with a 1600mah battery....

However when we tried that with a few cables the controller glows yellow once then goes off and the PS button does nothing. Chosen Solution I would LOVE to make a hackintosh but an idea came to my mind. What if, instead of buying a comp case why not use my Mac mini case? Is it possible to gut a Mac mini and put new pieces of hardware in there? The major problem would be finding components small enough to fit the Mini case. Then they would also have to be extremely low powered so as not to overheat in use....

Chosen Solution Hi. Two days ago, after not being used for a week, i booted the laptop, using the power chord. It had a recent Asus bluetooth driver update driver request which i went ahead and let it install. After i hit the Finish button i noticed that the laptop went on battery power and the little icon showing the power chord disappeared. I thought it was a coincidence or power chord got loose, but was not the case....

Chosen Solution My MacBook Pro with intel integrated graphics shuts down randomly whenever it is not connected to an external monitor. When connected, either through thunderbolt adapters or HDMI cable, it will run indefinitely without shutting down. However, when I unplug the external monitors it will shutdown within seconds to minutes. If I stream a video while there’s no display connected, I can sometimes get an hour or two of uptime before it shuts down....

Chosen Solution Did you ever sort this out? I have a White MacBook with the same problem. backlight comes on, but goes off after a while. It is not a mechanical problem. Moving the lid makes no difference and wiggling the cable on the inside makes no difference. Interestingly turning the machine off and back on restores the backlight (for a while). Originally one wire in the inverter cable was broken (it got caught in the hinge)....

Chosen Solution Pic below shows black screen on boot up, very quickly, then blue lines fade in and out, and eventually disappear, moving track pad brings them back, then disappear etc… No fan, no noise except initial mac boot sound… Any ideas? So you never see a viable desktop correct? If that’s the case your display assembly is damaged. On the backside of the assembly is a circuit board (T-CON). If you look at Steps 5&6 in the iMac Intel 27" Retina 5K Display Teardown you can see what I’m talking about....

Chosen Solution Hi, I am having some major trouble. It seems as if the socket on the logic board to connect the lcd is broken. The retainer gold bracket that goes over the socket has fallen off. The plastic on the socket also seems to have broken off. Is there a fix for this without buying a new logic board please help Not an ideal repair but if it were mine I’d find a piece of the yellow tape Apple uses and make as good a connection as I could and tape it in place....

So I decided as in the past to uninstall the brother printer files and reinstall from their website the Windows 10 64 bit (MFC-5890CN-inst-win8-A1.exe). Chosen Solution I recently bought an iPhone 5 from craigslist, completely unaware that the activation lock was even a thing… So long story short I have an iPhone 5 with the iCloud activation lock. I tried to restore it with DFU mode because I figured that would work, but that didn’t really do anything aside from un-activate it and update it to iOS 9 (I think). Chosen Solution My eMac has a broken CD/DVD drive so I am not able to upgrade my operating system, etc. Can I replace it with a new drive and then upgrade it to a current software version? Here is a link on doing just that. codyduncum is correct in checking what operating systems your eMac will run. No eMac will run Snow Leopard but the newer ones with enough ram will run Leopard....

Chosen Solution My disk drive is making strange grinding noises. It wont do anything, it wont inject the disk. it beeps 3 times on power on and off, the eject button doesnt work either. Iv taken it apart, checked the rollers and all the connections, the are all snug and fine. Iv looked everywhere for a replacement for my model cuh-1003a but cannot find a replacement. I’m assuming you cant use an external disk drive and I’m out of warranty....
