Chosen Solution Got that $29 battery kit, was excited to do the swap. Followed instructions step by step. Got it to power up and then… the home/touchID button doesn’t work. I was careful not touch the home button or the surrounding area. Took it apart again and made sure all of the ribbons have connected correctly yet, nada :/. Someone explain to me what could be wrong? I bought a brand new pre assembled lcd/digitizer so all I’d have to do is use some 2mm tape and press it in to place. I’m now having an issue where from about the middle on the phone to the bottom is lifting around the edges. I thought I might have done a poor job with the tape so I went in and re did it 2 times now and still the same results....

Chosen Solution Hi, we replaced the digitizer on a customer’s iPad 2 GSM model a few days ago. They came back complaining of their cellular data not working. So what we see is that sometimes the cellular signal in the top left is simply missing. Upon deactivating, and reactivating cellular data we see it come back, with 5 dots and 3G service. It will stay like that, but when we try to use the cellular data to use safari, we get an error message saying “There is no remaining data on your current plan…” The customer says he should automatically be getting his plan increased if he hits his limit, and that he should not even be at his limit....

As the local official apple repaired had quoted my over $1K (And apple definately would not warranty it for me) I used a joint nearby thaqt had quoted a fraction over $500. Chosen Solution I replaced the battery from my iPad mini and the LCD backlight got really dimmed. I also did it on another iPad and same thing happened. Did you take care to not reseat any front panel connectors when battery is plugged in? If not this may be a backlight IC (forgot what it was really called) issue.
