Chosen Solution How do I fix the colored lines across the screen @becca0724 going by your description alone, it does sound like you have a broekn LCD. REplacing it is the only way to repair this. Chosen Solution iMac G5 17 Model A1058 when pressing power button on g5 imac it makes startup noise but the screen does not do anyting and then it shuts itself down after about 10 seconds Open it up by removing the back. There are four diagnostic lights on the logic board. Let us know what they are telling you. Also inspect the 24 “cans” capacitors for swelling and/or corrosion. I have the same problem: the boot up sound and the fans and HDD working but no picture on the screen....

Chosen Solution After reassembling everything after cleaning up from a liquid spill, I managed to break the connector on the logic board that attaches to the red and black speaker cable. Would this be fixable by re-soldering the connector (the individual pins look extremely small)? If not, I’m not too concerned about having sound. Chosen Solution Hi, I revived coffee damaged MacBook Pro. Cleaned logicboard and all is working except keyboard backlight. Mousepad does not click but works. Battery is not charging at all even it has less than 200 cycles. Magsafe charging light is orange and the computer works fine as long as plugged in but dies if unplugged. Have reset SMC without effect. Is it for sure the battery or perhaps another connector/issue inside the logicboard or the I/O board?...

Chosen Solution Can anyone tell me the circuit for the power ribbon. I want to test if the power button is electrically doing what it should - I assume that when it is pressed it creates a short between two of the contacts on the end of the ribbon connector. Can someone confirm that and tell me which two are shorted or open circuited if it works the other way. Thanks...

Chosen Solution I replaced the cracked touchscreen/digitizer on my daughters ASUS tf300t. Tablet powers up and display looks good but is totally unresponsive to the touch? It must be defective replacement. I had a Asus t100 screen I replaced, but replacements for those tablets are unreliable. When I finished the repair, the touch didn’t work, but we luckily had the keyboard for it so we could keep using it. We’re still using without the touch....
