Chosen Solution I replaced thermal Paste on CPU and GPU then put the System back together. After putting it back together, system did not want to charge the battery. I have reseated the battery several time and same issue. Also, The Battery Indicator Light is stuck on three or six when any type of power is present. Chosen Solution I ordered a replacement Iphone 6 battery. After disassembling the phone, the battery in my phone has two individual connectors at the top of the battery. All the replacement batteries I find have the connector on the side. Can anyone explain this? are you sure you dont mean the power button flex which goes under the battery as no iphone batteries come with 2 connectors

Chosen Solution I recently brought my phone to the Apple Store for problems i’ve been having with my phone. They then discovered that I have a slight bend on the rear housing. My initial problem was that when I turn it on the phone flashes a white screen with the apple logo. I’ve tried rebooting it through iTunes at times it will turn on and allow me to set up as a new phone but it doesn’t stay on, and when it is on when i make or receive phone calls I can’t be heard....

Chosen Solution I dropped my acer switch alpha 12. The screen is cracked, the keyboard cable is broken from the connector, and I can turn it on, and that is about it. At one point when I removed the LCD screen from the backing, windows narrator came on, not sure how but it did. I have it connected to my tv, thru a VGA and USB adapter, I can hear the processor and hard drive working, but the only thing that appears on the tv is the mouse pointer, the rest is all black....

This is a procedure I successfully completed with my old MacBook Pro (2010), and it was fairly easy, using a Samsung EVO 512GB 2.5" SSD. Would it be possible to do the same with the Macbook Air 2015? Chosen Solution Can someone confirm, that the fan is much louder after upgrading the 2017 5k 27” i5/3.4GHz to a i7/4.2GHz (with i7 7700K)? I nearly never heard the fan before, but now when using the full power of the processor (e.g. rendering in blender with 8 threads at 100%) the fan is very loud. I’m not sure if this is ok or if I did something wrong with the termal paste application or when installing the cooling system....

Chosen Solution Can I overclock processor to make it run faster. I just had to resurrect this guy to work with my sublimation printer as that printer is older than dirt lol from 2005. Totally agree with @thequacker, it will be hard to get decent results on this platform as you’d be facing way too many limitations, starting from a locked CPU + BIOS settings, and naturally the fact that by design it tends to overheat much more than desktop PCs....

Chosen Solution can you use a hair dryer instead of a heat gun to take apart a screen on an ipod Saul, yes you can. A hair dryer on high should get hot enough to loosen the adhesive and it is a bit safer than a heat gun. It helps, but not as powerful as a heat gun. Doesn’t the heat affect the screen?

Chosen Solution Hello all, I’ve replaced the digitizer and LCD on many iPads before. But today when I replaced a digitizer, I was greeted with no backlight after screen replacement. After I power cycled it, the backlight was working but it was stuck on an Apple logo before finally showing connect to iTunes. I’ve disconnected the battery and reconnected but to no avail. Now when I try to select update on iTunes, all it does is show the loading bar and doesn’t do anything....

Chosen Solution I’m considering purchasing a liquid damaged Macbook. Judging by the pictures and seller description the logic board doesn’t seem to be affected by the spill. Is it possible that the logic board itself is fine, but the power button on keyboard does not work? I want to make it my first laptop I get back working myself. Chosen Solution I put in a battery from my 2010 air and the cpu was locked at 800 MHz with no service battery indicators but when I put my original battery back into the computer it said service battery and didn’t throttle. Are all MacBook Air batteries interchangeable or will it cause my computer to throttle? More than likely this is a sensor issue. Even if the battery fits and powers the unit, the board is expecting a specific reading from the battery and it’s getting something different, or not getting anything at all....

Chosen Solution I got the XM3, and I frequently have the ear pads replaced because it keeps peeling off. I am planning to upgrade to XM5, and I know that I’ll need to replace the ear pads eventually. Can the ear pads be replaced by the user? Is it as easy as the XM3’s or is it more difficult? @mylesuy same idea on the XM5. Just always be careful and use a plastic opening tool (spudger) to unsnap the plastic bracket....

Chosen Solution Changed my front assembly with ifixit pre-installed assembly, just had to put the home button from old cracked screen. Now auto-brightness function disappearred from the settings. Tried everything, all other sensors are working perfectly. Any suggestions? If your replacement screen came with the Front Camera & Sensor Flex pre-installed, then it may be a damaged or defective flex. This is not uncommon as replacement small parts tend to have high defect rates....
