Chosen Solution Hi, I recently reflowed a faulty graphics card from a late 2009 iMac (successfully) as per JDW’s excellent YouTube found elsewhere here. However in reassembly all the fans are going. Istats showed CPU fan as zero. Did several SMC resets. Checked everything. Not due to missing resistor seen in other similar cases. However during reassembly this piece was seen in bottom of case. Can anyone idenify it or suggest anything else to try?...

If you dropped it I would first sign up for AppleCare + so you have the added protection you have a bit of time to sign up online. Then bring in your phone for service in a week....

You could try to replace it yourself by following this guide. You could also enhance your question by giving us more background on the device and what’s it been through. Chosen Solution This might be a dumb question, but I received 2 nanos yesterday (a first and second gen) The first gen seems to be cooked but the second gen works pretty okay, but the center button does not work. Chosen Solution Iv got an ipad air . Not had any previous repairs. Its got black screen, no visuals, it allows you to put it in dfu mode and pc detects it but any attempt to restore causes error 2005 . Chosen Solution Hi, I bought the repair part (iPhone 7 Plus battery) and the Repair Tools, but when watching the video on how to change the battery it mentions an iOpener, which I didn’t get. I thought if I bought the repair tools with the battery it would give me everything I need. Can I change the battery without it? The iOpener serves the purpose to mildly warm up the adhesive keeping screen and housing tight, but that gets softer even if you use a hair dryer or anything that brings the screen temperature to warm at touch....

Chosen Solution I did a screen repair on the phone. and know the back camera doesn’t work. Didn’t have a back camera but I had an issue on a 6 once where replacing the front camera got the back camera to work. So I tried replacing the Front camera and know the back camera works but not the front wont work….. You may have damaged something while replacing the screen. I went and bought a wably #10 socket and it didn’t help either. The socket extensions are blocked by the transmission case. Does anyone have any helpful tips? The “about this mac” reflects the correct info (i7 2.9), but the stamped serial number says it’s a 2009 (core duo). I found a sticker on the inside with a serial number that reflects a 2012.
