Chosen Solution I would like to upgrade my macbook’s (and possibly my mac mini’s) processors… I would like to know if I could upgrade these processors and get a intel core i7 (or other faster processor) to keep my macs more up-to-date than just OS X. Older Mac minis (Model A1176, 2008 or older) can be upgraded to a faster, 64-Bit Core 2 Duo CPU (But not an i7) All newer Mac minis, and every MacBook made to date have integrated, non-removable processors....

Chosen Solution Hey guys, Im trying to boot my iMac to recovery mode, but it won’t work. Is it because I have a windows keyboard? If you guys have any answers please reply! Trying to boot up to recovery mode, so I can disable something. Oh yeah, I called Apple Support and they said my “iMac was too old therefore, it won’t have recovery mode”.

I recently succeeded in replacing the inflated battery in my surfacepro5 intact, but (foolishly) I am about to get my hands on a junk pro7+ next. So my question is, is the screen of the pro5 compatible with the pro7 in order to use it for operational testing, etc.? I know that the location of the terminals may be different depending on the production lot....

Chosen Solution The tape isn’t strong enough. What I used for a Google pixel XL screen replacement is Tesa 61395 tape which is really strong and b7000 liquid glue to fill in the weak spots or gaps where there is no tape I could put in due to curved areas like corners. Hey, I’ve ordered those strips already, but was wondering if u could guide me about how u do that?...

Chosen Solution Hi I have a apple Cinema Display here that I have been working on and it’s acting really strange It works fine until I get to the OS,the screen turns black and I get this weird distorted pixel mess at th top of the screen It never used to display anything but I cleaned the main board and ultrasonic cleaned it and it started working (kinda) I have also tried looking for any shorts and I could find any I believe it’s a firmware issue but I just want to make sure;-) Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks:-)...

Chosen Solution I heard a rumor that USB C ports on the left side had a higher data transfer and wattage rate than those on the right side. Is this true for the 2017+ models? Yes, its true! The left side ports data rate is different than the right on the 13” models only, The 15” models appear to be the same! I’m not sure what is different within the PCH between these to explain this as both use the same PCH....

(this is a screen which I bought from amazon and fitted) I have opened the phone numerous times to see what is wrong and I can’t find anything. Chosen Solution just replaced the lightning port on iphone 8plus. now when i make a call my voice is muffled. but if i put my finger over the back mic or just place a piece of tape over it its all ok. all other functions are fine. turning off noise cancellation doesn’t do anything either If your voice sounds muffled on the other end of the line you will need to replace your charge port assembly as there are two microphones on it....

Chosen Solution This is a unique set in regards to the back panel. It is a full rear panel, top to bottom. Minimal screws on the bottom and none on the top similar to Samsung’s screwless back panel. How does this come off? Does it pry off like the Samsung TV’s? To be clear this is not the half back panel that the slim Sony’s have. This is a full back panel....

Chosen Solution The Apple Wireless Keyboard (Aluminum) uses three AA batteries. One of the AA batteries in my keyboard is stuck inside due to corrosion. I’ve managed to strip down most of the keyboard, but I’m stuck with the final C-clip that is deep inside and I haven’t got any tool to undo the C-clip. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks! I have used a baking soda and water solution on my car to get rid of corrosion that was keeping the battery from connecting, and one full cup of a water-baking soda solution (very little baking soda, too - probably 1-2 TBSP, but I can’t remember right now) will remove all of the corrosion very quickly....

Chosen Solution Battery indicator is incorrect, shows 1% for ages but will work for ages after this but screen is hard to see as automatically goes to dark. Probably at about 50 % but shows 1% . Don’t want to do a factory reset any other suggestions thanks i will try this The battery probably needs to be replaced, if that doesn’t help then it’s a board level issue that I don’t think is worth repairing....

Chosen Solution I have a MBP mid 2012. I was doing a batch of converting video files to a smaller size using handbrake, and left it on charge. When I came back, the magsafe was showing green so I unplugged it, and the computer immediately switched off. I reattached the power cord, and the machine switched on, but the lights on the battery checker were flashing when I pressed it, and the internal clock had reset....

Chosen Solution Does anyone have experience with the Clarisonic Mia Smart device? [A woman’s sonic face cleaner.] There appears to be a history of poor battery life and worse customer service (Clarisonic search on Trustpilot.com). Chosen Solution My screen turned into black while using，suddenly, and permanently。 I connected the MacBookPro with an outside display. The display works good. I brought the MBP to Apple center. They said there is something wrong in Logic Board (maybe a Resistor burned)， the BackLight lost. Other parts of the MBP are all good， including the retina screen. They would not repair it for me , they can only change the Logic Board and charge me a lot of money....

Chosen Solution Hello, I’ve replaced the shattered lcd screen of my Huawei P10 Lite using a non-official replacement bought on ebay. When turning on the device, the screen works for less than a second (with very low brightness) then stops working. Phone boots normally, but the display can’t retain the image. It was confirmed when seeing my lockscreen wallpaper when pressing the power button. I’ve tested my old broken lcd and it doesn’t goes black instantly as the new one....

So I was just wondering can i buy a 5S display and use it in my SE because 5S display is available everywhere? Thanks in advance :) You can only use the original 5S displays on the SE, you could use 5s aftermarket displays on the SE but it’s really a hit or miss, some aftermarkets will display properly on the SE and some don’t....

As long as there are enough watts in the power supply, you have a case that can fit an ATX power supply, and you have the right CPU header (4 or 8 pin) you should be good… The only thing I think you may have a problem with is not all ATX power supplys have 4 pin CPU power and that motherboard has a 4 pin CPU header…
