Chosen Solution I recently dropped my iPhone x while skating. It still turns on no problem, but the screen is cracked and at the bottom its bent ever so slightly. unable to swipe up as the bottom half is unresponsive. Otherwise the phone itself seems to be in working order. Is it possible to remove the “guts” (sorry for the gore) of my broken phone and put them in the body of another iphone X, say one thats factory locked and so the person is selling it for $100?...

Chosen Solution I recently dropped a tiny bit of water on my trackpad and the mouse started acting up.. moving on it’s own..clicking everywhere. I wiped the water right away and opened the back case to let it dry. I used a blow dryer for a few seconds near the trackpad then put a regular fan next to the computer. Sadly after 4 days it’s still not back to normal and I managed to crack the trackpad a tiny bit at the bottom as well so now I really want to replace it....

Chosen Solution Rubber hand grips on EOS 300D are deteriorating and smudging anything they touch. Can I replace them without replacing the cases? It will be smooth and shiny when done, not as slip proof as before, but the stickiness will be gone....

Chosen Solution i am doing a repair on an iPhone 8 and was wondering if i can use 98% acetone based nail polish remover to remove adhesive from under the Turtle IC board for the home button, so i wont cause damage to the touch id. The clear nail polish remover is mainly acetone. Yes it will work. Use sparingly.

Chosen Solution After replacing the home cable button because from the first one I teared off the socket while changing screen my Touch ID still doesn’t work. Before it would say that it has failed etc, but now it doesn’t say anything and I can try to setup new fingerprint. When I try to do that though, it doesn’t say anything and doesn’t read the fingerprint no matter how much I clean it and what fingerprint I use....

I need to continue my iOS App development, so I tried to pull out my old Late 2008 MacBook Air, but I can’t install Xcode 9 et al on it. I found a site by ‘dosdud1’ that has a High Sierra patcher on it to install current macOS on old hardware, but my AirPort Extreme card in the Air is one of only 8 that won’t work....

Chosen Solution I have an old 2006 iMac (A1174; EMC 2105), it hasn’t really been used since 2010 because it was having several issues mostly shutting down with no warning. I knew the issue was the power supply so I thought it would be a fun project to replace it. After putting the display on i plugged it in to test the Computer, it starts up but with a blank display, I hear the ODD spinning and the LED indicator under the right speaker lights up, 2 seconds later the HDD fan starts spinning at full speed (Note: there is no Hard Drive connected and i don’t believe the sensor is either, so i think that is normal) the ODD fan spins as well....

Chosen Solution For a very long time i had given up on my DS lite. I did not have the skills when i was younger to tear it apart to fix it. My DS lite whenever i would play a game or sometimes even before i hit the game it would crash and if there as sound that sound would crash as well. First thinking it might be something on the logic board i took it apart now years later when the issue still persists to check for damages or shorts....

Chosen Solution I have an A1181 Macbook. The system recognizes the battery but it doesn’t charge. I’ve already replaced the battery, charger and DC-in. The only two options I have is the logic board or the battery connector. Which of the two options makes the best sense? The laptop was given to me because the hard drive was damaged. I replaced the HDD and it was fine. I put it in the closet for a couple weeks and all of a sudden it wasn’t charging the battery....
