Chosen Solution I’ve seen people using a 2011 screen on the 2012 model but is it possible to do it the other way round? My 2011 screen died on me and I have a broken 2012 lying around. As long as they are both Unibody systems! You can’t use a Retina display on a Unibody. Be aware the 2012 systems use a slightly different LVDS connector! Most people are placing the 2011 15” hi-res matte or gloss displays onto their 2012 system....
Chosen Solution I just upgraded my MacMini from the original hard drive (40G Ultra ATA) to a 320G Western Digital Scorpio Blue Hard Drive. I used the original install disks and partitioned the disk once into one volume and tried to install the original OS X version: 10.3.7. The installer would not allow installation onto the drive. I tried 2 partition system, one 40G partition and 280G partition and no luck....

I can find the power on pads for others similar to mine but the logic boards are different. I need to test if its the power button causing my air to not turn on. The contacts will all be different and you would have to change the way your circuitry connects to it. The Mini USB and the USB-C really have not much in common. Chosen Solution I bought the system early last year and tried it again a couple of months ago and the screen comes on and ask you to push the PS button on the controller but nothing works, bought new controllers and the same thing. Any easy fixes? This issue is a difficult one…assuming that you’ve tried the easy stuff (new cable, controller, etc.) this might be something that isn’t fixable at the moment....

Would I just need to order the screen and get my tech friend who is qualified to install it? or would I actually need to get the whole top half? If you take a closer look at your own rear panel, you can see a model number and other information. I’m sure you will find a rear panel with that information, but it wouldn’t be the correct information about your phone....
Chosen Solution There is something holding my pack pannel on and I can’t figure out how to take it off. From the outside it looks like a circle made of the same material as the panel. I can pry it open and look inside and it seems to be a screw. I can’t move it as there is nowhere to place the screwdriver. It may be on the otherside underneath a keycap but from what it looks like it doesn’t like up with any keys....

Most Windows PCs will strangely default to a 16:10 1680x… resolution. If I force it to 1440p via the graphics card, then the image is all blocky. You could get a new fan assembly which would have a working connector that would be the easiest way but might be costly and difficult to get depending on where you are located.
