Chosen Solution I replaced the click wheel, front face, and battery in my 30 gig video iPod. When I connect it to the computer it suggests restoring it. I hit restore it starts the process then after awhile it stops to say it can’t restore because the iPod is in use. The Apple site suggests many things such as turning enable and disable disk on or off but i dont have that option in the summary of the iPod in itunes....

Chosen Solution Just installed a new battery in my 4th Gen ipod. Repair went fine and now it works but it wont charge completely. Chosen Solution During a fault finding mission on my car I found the Vref on a sensor that should be 5V sitting over 7V. I traced it back to one of the modules and found the pcb mounted voltage regulator was outputting the 7V I’d seen at the sensor. The reg was aLM2931-5.0 fixed voltage regulator in TO-92 config. In doing some research on the specs I thought it may have failed due to engine bay heat and replaced it with another LM2931-5....

Its usually the LCD panel that is at fault with the description you’ve provided… it may be a loose connection, but if the lines are clear straight lines, it means a data tract is damaged in the LCD. i hope this helps

Chosen Solution The iMack bongs nicely, and the f14/f15 keys make the screen brighter and dimmer, but the screen stays black throughout the boot process. I do not have an external display to check to see if that works. It has a bit of hard drive noise and it will make keyboard noises if you hold down a key for a long time so it seems to be booting fully, just no screen display....
