Chosen Solution Hi all, I Have a MBP (A1707) that is not powering on and user wants to save their data on it. Don’t know what’s wrong and can’t swap any parts, so was just going to try swapping the whole mobos in case the charging mechanism is broken, it may power on.. Just so I can try to copy the data. The mobos look very similar, same mounting holes.. If you’re replacing the whole mobo, shouldn’t be too much compatibility to worry about, no?...

Chosen Solution Hello experts, I bought a 1TB WD drive WD10EZEX for my 2009 iMac. Only after installation (and non-recognition) did the penny drop that it’s a SATA3 drive in a SATA2 iMac. After a lot of reading and problem solving I found WD’s instructions regarding jumpers, these being used to limit the drive to 3GB/s. Applying the jumper made no difference regarding boot up visibility. The strange thing is that when the new drive is installed and the machine is booted from an external HDD via USB, the new drive is visible through Disk Utility, able to be formatted etc....

You would have to know that the connector pin wiring configuration of the new screen was the same as for your screen before you could try another LCD screen....

Chosen Solution When replacing the LCD+Digitized (without frame - I had to reinstall it on a new frame since the old one was broken) I was able to see the flex cable and the frame behind the LCD after installing the new LCD. Here is the phone’s print-screen: and here is the picture of the phone: So it’s possible that the LCD is not the issue since the print-screen doesn’t show the flex cable and the frame so i’m puzzled how that burned into the image....

Chosen Solution After being in rice for 3 days, the phone can get calls, but no light on the screen or able to see incoming calls. Can the screen be repaired and is it worth it? Hi @teres , As you know water and electronics and electricity are not a good mix. The minerals in the water cause corrosion and the water also provides circuit paths for the electricity which were not in the phone’s operating design and could damage the components....

The problem that the adaptor I bought does not fit the plug in my radio, and I am unable to discover what is the official technical name of this plug, since I cannot even find the manual of this radio inline....

I have an 04 Ford focus zx5 and it had a stock sub and amp wire to the back which both are gone now so I’ve been trying to figure out how to wire a new sub and amp through them and a new stereo deck which is an ouku 7inch touchscreen/DVD receiver and I know you guys probably already answered it somewhere in your website but I’m going to throw out these wire schematics and see if you can help I have a Dark grey with black stripe thick Light grey with white stripe thick White with red stripe thick Dark grey with red stripe thick White with purple stripe thick Dark grey thick Black with green stripe thick white with black stripe thick white thick Orange with black stripe thick Orange with black stripe thin I believe this is black with yellow stripes thin White with green stripe thin Then these two wires wrapped in what looks like tin foil that’s coming from where my sub and amp are going to the deck it’s a grey with black wire thin and then white with black stripes thin Then white with red stripes thin then I have this thick black with blue stripe That’s going to me sub and amp that starts out as one big black with blue stop and splices out to two Then on a o u k u wiring harness I have the ACC red wire the black ground wire the battery yellow wire then the brown i l l u m i wire than ant-VCC blue wire then in oranges looking wired and I’m not sure what it is and also a gray with a black stripe wire if somebody could help me out with this this would be super cool thanks for your time...

Chosen Solution going thru motions with all ink cartridges full but pages coming out blank Hi, Have you tried the printhead cleaning procedure to see if this resolves your problem? Here is a link that shows how to do it. http://www.manualslib.com/manual/218949/… same here, this printer was given to me and was not plugged in for considerable about of time i have installed fresh compatibles. i think it is something to do with the feed the pipes at the bottomwhere the go into the cartridge are only half coated with the ink....

Chosen Solution MacBook White 2010 Hi! I have a 60W Magsafe Charger with a strange problem! The charger will not charge the battery, only shows green light, but never amber. The percentage of the battery doesnt go down either and does charge with my brothers charger, but not with my charger? Chosen Solution So my iPhone 5c is not recognizing when I plug it in. I thought it was it a bad charging port, so I replaced it. That didn’t do anything. The headphone jack works and so do the loud speakers. I then took out the motherboard and put it in a full functioning iPhone 5c which I tested (charging port worked as well) but this motherboard failed to recognize when it was plugged in and wouldn’t charge....

Chosen Solution Hi, Got an ipod off ebay that was dead and cracked digitzer. Opening it up everything looks pretty much ok apart from two small capacitors/resistors? See the pics attached, should be fairly easy to see. not sure if this was caused by water or if they are caps they might be leaking/exploded. I have a new battery but apprehensive about putting it in as dont want to ruin it if the board is faulty....

Chosen Solution So I have a bent and cracked iphone 7 and I decided to restore it and I just wanted to know could a slightly bent logic board be the cause to my iphone overheating and not turning on? It certainly can…it all depends on how bent it is and where the bend is. A bent logic board can damage solder balls or break copper traces on or in the logic board....

Chosen Solution I am deaf in my left ear. Can I cut off the left ear bud of an Apple ear bud set and still have it work? You can change the settings for mono audio or hearing balance in Accessibility. I’m afraid that isn’t possible but they make special headphones for this kind of stuff look online. Otherwise I suppose you should only use one earbud.

Chosen Solution I’m changing the rear, aluminium casing on an iPad 2 which obviously involves prying up the battery from the large amount of adhesive that it’s stuck down with. I did this as carefully as possible, but a small amount of the black material or ‘film’, that covers the battery was left behind on the old casing adhesive. This has exposed a small area of the battery (I can see a silver layer underneath) and the battery also now has a ‘chemical’ or ‘solvent’ smell to it....

Chosen Solution Update (07/25/2022) I successfully repaired the display! The problem was the All-in-one-cable. I suspected the cable after visually inspecting the PSU and logic board, which looked fine. I also measured correct voltages coming from the PSU, and also seeing that the logic board spun up the fan, so it seemed to be at least somewhat functional. The AIO cable was 25 EUR from eBay and the display now works perfectly!...

Chosen Solution cursor keeps blinking upper left hand corner of screen Your computer is not finding the boot drive. Take a look in the BIOS. Press F10 when the HP Logo screen appears to get into the BIOS menu. See what hard drive is listed. Select it as your boot device. If one is there and it still does load Windows then either the drive itself is damaged or more likely Windows is corrupted....
