Chosen Solution I have an old iPhone 6s plus laying around. Can I use its lightning port as a replacement for my weak port in my iPhone 7 plus? Or do changes such as waterproofing make it not compatible? Thanks in advance! The charging port are not compatible. They will not even plug in. The layout of the cable is different and the connections to the subsystems wouldn’t plug either. You can buy a new charging port for around 5 dollars from ifixit....

Chosen Solution A month ago, overseas, I dropped my phone, a small rock cracked the edge of my Galaxy Note 8. I didn’t turn it off since then as I am afraid I won’t be able to start it again. The display is flickering and not working properly. I am able to figure out to unlock my phone using my passcode on the screen but can’t do more. I was able to plug it in my PC, access and save all pictures, audio recordings, but can’t locate my contacts and saved texts....

Chosen Solution Hi all, Following problem this time : Samsung galaxy tab 3 8 inch tablet is working fine : battery percentage is ( for example) 56 percent. one second further the tablet says : only 4 percent left , please charge … sometimes the battery is dead, i recharge the tablet , but a few seconds later i see that there is 80 percent battery ? also charging is soooo %#*@ slow… for example : 2 hours of charging for 10 percent battery …....

Chosen Solution Recently replaced the USB and headphone bar as well as a new battery. Did this in two stages. While doing it I accidently pulled the battery cable too hard and loosened the receiving end that is soldered to the board. Now in spite of new battery and solid USB connection can not get the battery to charge. Can this be fixed? If not. Would getting a new motherboard solve it....

Chosen Solution I left batteries in my A570. They corroded. I have cleaned the cavity and contacts and installed new batteries. the camera opens but I cannot take pictures. it seems to default to a screen to enter date/time etc. none of which I can get to work either. any suggestions? Hi @wheeling , The battery acid may have leaked through the battery compartment and affected components nearby. You’ll have to disassemble the camera and see if this may be the problem....

Chosen Solution Hi everyone, Recently my Big Blue Party speaker just wouldn’t turn on. Since then, even with the power cord in the speaker, I can’t get the speaker to operate. I’ve read on this a bit, and was wondering if the battery could be the problem? Even though it’s plugged in, could the battery just not hold a charge anymore, or is my speaker busted? Chosen Solution Hello, I put the wrong screw in to the plastic screw way/hole (whatever you call it) and it is now stuck. It is ph00 head (same across the laptop). Please help me to get it out. Can I use superglue? or is there a better way to do it? Thanks. Personally I wouldn’t use the glue as it will just fill the screw head and complicate the job. Stuck screw: Most important is that correct size screw driver is used so you get maximum torque....

Chosen Solution Recently my Mac has been shutting off randomly and not turning back on for a minute or so. After it turns on the login screen and start up chime appear/sound. This started happening on the last update of macOS Sierra and now in Catalina it persists. The only thing I have done to this computer is tighten the screen hinge and upgrade the RAM from 4GB to 8GB back on macOS High Sierra....

Chosen Solution I have been trying for about a week now with some blackberry 9700 bold 2. It’s the same problem with all of them, I can’t get them to power on using the usb cable, the ac cord, at all. Harold, Usually, when there is no more storage left, you cannot take pictures anymore and cannot download/receive messages since there is no place available to store them on your phone. Check the storage both on your internal storage (this phone usually has 4GB of storage, easily filled up) and your Micro SD card if available....

Chosen Solution Did a screen swap on a 6 - Now the camera app stays black and crashes when trying to take a picture. Seems like the shutter isn’t opening. Seems software-based. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue. For the record, have tried installing new front and back cameras and the problem persists. That is weird.
