No, I myself have run linux just fine over boot camp as well as hundreds and thousands of others out there. It’s a regular and not at all risky process....
Chosen Solution I installed a new hard drive in my MacBook, but cannot get Snow Leopard to install. I did the replacement according to ifixit.com and then partitioned it and ran erase. When I start up with the disk, everything seems to be going fine - the new HD shows as destination for install and the screen says it’s installing the OS. It says there are 30 minutes left and then an error screen comes up that says there’s a software problem and to retry....

The mount is secured to the iMac with two pentalobe screws. Does anybody know what size pentalobe screw’s are used on this model iMac? It costs nearly as much to get a replacement panel for a TV as it does to buy a new TV, if you can find one in the first place that is. You could try disconnecting the power from your TV and then removing the back cover to locate the panel number that is usually printed on the back of the panel....

Chosen Solution So I wanted to see if anyone has had the experience of accidentally stabbing the internal battery while it was still plugged into the main board. I was removing the back glass (I would like to add that i was successful) It didn’t explode but i got a poof of smoke when it happened. What are the chances that it fried the main board? Chosen Solution I have just replaced the battery in a stock IPhone SE for a client. This is the first repair for this particular phone, and the battery did not charge prior to repair. During the repair, I used parts from iFixIt and followed the guideline exactly. Upon completion, phone worked as normal, so I returned the phone. The next day, they brought it in to me and I see that the backlight works, but no display....

Check if your printer settings are set up for bi-directional printing. If so disable it and see if it helps....

He always managed to quit with alt=cmd=esc, but yesterday didint work as previously, so I have powered down the iMac and when restarted, the chimes came on, but black screen. Chosen Solution Hey everyone. My friend gave me his iPhone 6 plus too fix the screen and the boot loop issue. I have replaced the screen. I then replaced the battery which didn’t fix the issue. It restores fine and then stays on for an hour but will then boot loop again. So I replaced the lightning/headphone jack flex and still the same situation. Tried another new plus battery I had spare and the same outcome so I know its not the battery....

Chosen Solution I was replacing the optical drive with a second hard drive so I removed the wifi/camera cable from the logic board of my MBP. New drive works fine. But in the process of plugging the camera cable back in, I used too much force and broke something. I realized something was wrong because my fan is now constantly on and running at max speed ~6,000 RPM and is SUPER loud....
Chosen Solution I’m new to board repair and I have a phone that I accidentally removed a capacitor on by heating up the shield wrong. It’s C4002_RF, and the phone still works fine. What possible issues would I run into by not resoldering the capacitor on? Is it worth the work/risk of messing up the board? The phone will keep working fine without this capacitor as there are a few more on that line....

It will not break if i exposed the parts without screen? @mariongarin it is okay to do that. Just not sure why you do not just replace the screen. Obviously you cannot use it without a screen. Just follow the appropriate iFixit repair guide. You need to take care but it’s not particularly difficult....
