Chosen Solution My son jumped on the DSI XL and bent the port the power cord plugs into. It can no longer charge. What do I need to replace? You can either change the whole board on the DS, but the cost of this doesn’t make sense. You are better off replacing the jack and leaving it at that. Chosen Solution After dropping my phone for the last time, I can’t see anything at all. I did try unlocking the phone remembering where I would usually press on for my password. It does make keypad sounds. I can also receive texts and calls from people. I left it home and came back to it before sleeping. I can see something on the screen which is the lock screen. I could barely see it though....

Chosen Solution I have changed the battery with a battery from ifixit. Battery charging but not holding a charge. Battery will last only an hour with just Safari running. Heat fan runs continuously. I have reset the SMC and the PRAM to no effect. Might be a defective battery. As it’s new just contact the seller..

Chosen Solution I have a 2.0 Core Duo black macbook. I was curious to know if it’s possible to replace the cpu to get a faster one or overclock the one I have to get more processing power. If the boards are the same shape and size isn’t it possible just swap the boards? Thanks The CPU is not upgradeable.

Chosen Solution My Blackberry fell in a bucket of water several days ago. We removed the battery. There is water under screen. There is a white part which we also removed. We have done noting else. jacques W, now would be a good time to do something:-) before corrosion gets worse. Keep the battery out of your phone and do not try to turn it on.You do want to totally disassemble your phone....

Chosen Solution Hi everyone, today after a small fall from a chair, even if the laptop was inside the protect shell and inside a laptop bag, my MBP started to have a completely blank screen, without backlight or images. If I connect an external monitor everything works ok even if the internal monitor, from System preferences, is not recognized. All the service buttons work ok. I tried to reset NVRAM and PRAM and switch on repair mode but none of this trials worked....

Chosen Solution I need to glue a new glass screen to my LCD and digitizer. Can I use Bondic, and will 4g of that stuff suffice? Thanks a lot No, Bondic is not the same. LOCA is a optically clear (the OC in LOCA) and Bondic is not, meaning that you will have trouble seeing the screen. Even some cheap LOCAs are yellowish. Also, having never used Bondic to bond a screen, it may interfere with the digitizer....

Chosen Solution So I just bought a second hand modded 3ds xl console (katsukity mod) This is from another owner not the original company. The issue is that when I’m playing a game or if I apply a little pressure to the left side of the 3ds (the side with the analog stick) the bottom screen will spazz out and basically flicker a bluish filter over bottom screen image, it still displays it’s just discolored and I’m afraid this will cause the screen to stop working altogether....

Chosen Solution I recently added an SSD to my macbook pro and the old hard drive is in a case, with cable, attached externally. I attenpted to follow the procedure recommneded for transferring the OS to the new SSD from the old hard drive (procedure linked at the end of the SSD replacement) and held the keys during startup (without the external old hard drive attached), but all that came up on startup was a gray screen with a padlock symbol with a text bar beneath it, like it is asking for a password?...

Chosen Solution I dropped my iPhone 6. Now whenever I try to log into my iPhone it goes right to a white recovery screen. It’s weird because notifications are still appearing on the phone before I try logging into it. I tried the recovery, but it didn’t seem to work. I would like to know if there is any concerns about using a replacement battery with a different APN (616-0718). Yes, it will work Should work fine. My iPhone 5s battery APNs are currently: 616-0721. I think batteries between 0718 and 0721 should work fine. I think the only thing to worry about is if the battery has the right connector and mAh capacity....

Its only a year old Pull out the spark plug and pull the ripcord with your thumb covering the plug hole do this a few times . Are you feeling the compression pushing against your thumb and is your thumb getting wet with fuel. this tell you two things 1 you have compression if you feel the air moving in the cylinder....

Chosen Solution I have an iBook G4, which is the best Mac built so far IMHO. The main board is failing, so I took it apart. Are the parts worth anything to anyone? LCD screen/display, keyboard seems to be pretty popular for secondary market. if you want to take the time to do eBay or Craigslist, it’s worth a try. I’ve purchased used upper case for the iBook G4 via eBay when the touch pad failed....

Chosen Solution I bought the IFixIt Essential ToolKit and I’m using a triwing screwdriver. I have managed to get 4 out but I’m really struggling with the last two. I can’t seem to get the screw to grip the screwdriver to turn it. Is there a way to make it easier to open it? When I got home I tried turning it on just in case, and after it still failed, I opened it up and took a look at the APU bracket. The shop the guy took it to tried the washer fix, but with coins wedged between the pieces of metal. Still I took the coins out and tried the washer fix, I even got up to the high pitch noise and untightened the screws until it stopped but that didn’t work either....

I failed to realize that the battery was still plugged in to my macbook, while unplugging a display ribbon cable, the device turned on. I immediately shut it off and put it back together and noticed the LCD backlight is now nonfunctional....

I have read a couple of links describing how to boot from the power pads on other macs. Where are the power pads located on my unit? And where is the keyboard connection to the motherboard located? Chosen Solution Hello, I accidentally pull off the camera cable from my macbook pro board when I was changing the hard drive. It’s seems to be the reason why my computer now is very slow, because the cable is too hot. I try to isolate the cable with tape and it’s better but not fast as it should be. Anyone knows what I have to do? I really prefer to not change the cable, just disable the camera so the cable won’t get hot....
