Chosen Solution I have a Asus Notebook PC Laptop, Model: U56E I bought it in 2011 My question is: Recently it has been shutting off on it’s own, sometimes while playing a movie which does get irritating. After getting nowhere with antivirus software I tried reformatted the hard drive several times, also tried using it with the battery removed and reformatting with the battery removed, at first it seems to be happening after a few hours of use it will shut off on its own again, to say the least annoying....

Chosen Solution @ryanjsoo the only way to determine which part it is would be by opening it up. I’d get a replacement rear panel to see if that fixes it. It will be easier to replace the back panel than the front and it might just fix this issue. As for the clickwheel, sounds a bit like a poor aftermarket part.

No water damage, just a smal crack on front screen that happened a year ago… No damage right before this incident…. It stopped recognizing the charging cable all togther. Chosen Solution my iPhone 3gs deosnt seem to charge after a battery remplacement, the phone battery stay at the same level after I plug in to charge it I see the symbol that my phone charge but after few minutes plugged the phone still at the same level. try swapping back to the original battery and see if that makes a difference. For some reason the 3gs is supersensitive about it’s batteries....

Chosen Solution If anybody have this problem, follow the steps @danj suggest but also try some new batteries! my first was faulty, my second works! So it seems I don’t have problems with the SMC, logic board, charger or magsafe connector. Thank You @danj Don’t need any pics or vid at this point. Unplug the battery following the guide, then with nothing connected press the power button holding it for a good 10 secs so we fully discharge the logic board, now plug in the MagSafe, turn on the system, it should start, shut it down and plug back in the battery, leave the system off, let it charge for the night (good 10 hrs)....

Chosen Solution Hi, At some point in the past, my Macbook fell off the bed and apparently dislodged the battery from it’s connection point. Symptoms were dead Macbook and charge indicator LED wouldn’t go green or amber (to show battery charging status). I brought it in to BestBuy (warranted repair at that point). Hi @saadalbasha when you order your iPhone battery make sure to order and waterproofing seal because once you lift the screen up the old one won’t be usable after opening a device it is a must to do this ,but I cannot guarantee it will be reliably water resistant hopefully this answers your question ,if not please ask thanks:-)

Mode button pressed for 2 seconds and power button lights up for thirty seconds while mode button flashes so there must still be some power. @gelngoi ,Earl Samuels , It may be time to replace the battery. Chosen Solution During a screen repair I didnt disconnect the battery and when i connected the home button connector to the logic board a small amount of smoke came out. I had the board microsoldered and repaired but I am wondering now what the cause was? Was the replacement screen faulty or was it just because the battery wasnt disconnected as id like to know if i could still use the replacement screen or if it needs binned....
