Chosen Solution So my iphone5 was working well last night but when i woke up this morning it was shutting down. Like there’s this buffering thing in the middle of the black screen that just goes round and round. I tried charging it and pressing the power and home button. But nothing works. I tried looking for answers online but nothing seem to work. :/ It is usually the power button which fails the most on the iPhone 5, preventing you from force rebooting your phone (by simultaneously pressing Home Button + Power Button until the phone shuts down then restarts)....

Chosen Solution hey i was wondering if you can upgrade the memory on this computer to 8gb? i kno it can handle 6 gb but if i update it to 8 gb (2x4gb) will my computer recognize it? i need sugessions before i buy it. and btw will a 1tb harddrive work for this as well? According to Mactracker the A1278 will handle 8 GB and has no limit on hard drive other than what will fit in the space provided....

Chosen Solution In the process of disassembling this iPhone 11 Pro somehow this little part tumbled in the back-housing and I have no idea where it came from nor where it belongs. I went really slow and followed the YT disassembly video but have not been able to figure out it’s original placement, please help! (Images inserted below.) Thank you! So I replaced the rear case and installed a new battery that I got here on I fixit. After reinstalling all the parts and powering up the phone things seemed to be working as normal, but she soon began to have cell signal only issues, the WIFI has always worked as it should....

Chosen Solution I am tempted to buy a phone which needs a screen replacement and from the sounds of it a new front camera because the image is blurry. the buy says that face id used to work but when the camera went blurry it stopped. Does changing the front camera brick face id? Yes, it does. It is a very stupid measure by Apple. A DIY replacement will render face ID lost....

Chosen Solution I just bought an early 2009 Mac Pro (4,1) running High Sierra, but discovered it had no WIFI, which is vital for me as I live in a Mobile Home with the Mac in a different room from the wireless router. My 20” and 27” iMac’s WIFI works fine from that room. Apparently, the Mac Pro was patched to appear as a 2010 (5,1) model, but still WIFI is not recognized....

Chosen Solution Can anyone recommend a external speaker to be connected to dot, BY CABLE. I do not want to run my wireless JBL speaker by Bluetooth and leave it plugged in on charge all the time reason, Dot was a gift and I want better speaker quality without spending full value of larger Echo. Connector cables I can purchase, but want recommendation of speaker. And her is final question, If I get set up by cable, (external speaker) will it convert to only the nice stereo speaker take over, or will have I have both on at same time....

Chosen Solution Uniden Dect. 6.0 - I have base and 6 cordless extensions, on one extension the screen has gone blank, although the phone works - has dial tone, can make calls, etc. Uniden support says try factory reset, I followed instructions, (disconnect battery, press * and #, reconnect battery) didn’t work. When informed of that, they say they no longer make phones, cannot help any more…. I don’t want to have to buy a whole new system to replace that one extension....

Chosen Solution Hey iFixers, I have been upgrading all possible components of my early 2006 iMac (HDD and optical drive) with help from iFixit. My next venture is to upgrade the CD CPU to C2D CPU. I know this is possible as it’s socketed. I have found a “tutorial” on MacLife to do this but am wondering if anyone here has done it and might have some advice/tips on the best (easiest) way to undertake such a daunting task....

Chosen Solution my E72 is properly opened up but can’t ease out old glass jeremy, if you are trying to replace the glass remember that it is glued into the frame. You may want to try a hairdrier or heat gun on low settings to soften the glue. Hope this helps, good luck.

Chosen Solution The hard drive on my Time Capsule has stopped working. I was able to backup the data but now I need to replace the broken one. Will the hard drives from other models be compatible with the first generation? If not is there a third party hard drive that will? Any hard drive with a working SATA port can connect and work as a storage device in your time capsule provided it is standard size or smaller....

Chosen Solution I was wondering if you found any antennas with pigtails in the Xbox One X. I was hoping to retrofit an external antenna for better bluetooth controller range. Did you see any connections near the wifi/bluetooth chip? Thanks!! Unfortunately, these actually don’t have any external connectors for any type of antenna. They are built into the board on the front of the console as well as the small board on the side of the console....

Chosen Solution Canon 70D larger back LCD screen glass broken. Can I replace this glass only ? mbkline not quite sure what glass is broken. From your description it sounds like the LCD itself. To repair it you would have to replace the LCD. If that is not what you are looking for, consider posting some images of the broken glass/area with your question. For that use this guide.

Chosen Solution I have an older amana upright 23 cu freezer. I’m not sure how old it is but the shelves and walls are all aluminum. The outside back of the freezer is hot to touch on left midway down and i’m wondering if this is normal or something I should be concerned with. It is working fine. Check it again in a couple of hours to see if it is in its defrost cycle....

Chosen Solution Hello everyone, I just got a recent issue with my macbook. I went for a ssd swap and everything went fine, except I lost the ssd screw. Somehow in my bag my ssd popped out of its connector and I had to do a hard shutdown when I woke it then got a question mark at boot. Opened it up, put the ssd back in place (it had badly shifted out), and everything seemed fine, untill I noticed I could not longer adjust brightness and it was stuck to full....

Chosen Solution I ordered the iFixit battery repair kit and replaced the battery of my 15" early Retina MBP, ( not so easy but went ok) but now after just 9 months I already get a battery warning and battery capacity is 70 %. Thats frustrating. ( I already did SMC reset). How are your experiences with the iFixit battery quality? Chosen Solution My iphone 6s fell down accidentally n the screen broke. Later i gave it in a store which fixes these issues(not apple store).gt the screen replacement done but the battery shows the same 3% charge evn after charging for few hours. Wat can i do now? Chosen Solution Hello everyone! I recently notice that my phone’s battery is draining very fast. Also without charging the phone is ultra slow, even shut down completely. Secondly my screen has one left side vertial yellow line tint, and one horizontal top yellow line tint. What is the problem here? and the cause? Thank you a million! First thing to do would be to verify battery condition..check capacity and charging cycles with Coconut battery on a Mac or 3UTools on PC....

Chosen Solution I have bought an iFixit replacement battery, installed it, 3 days after delivery. The battery symbol is crossed out. I have reset the SMC and PRAM there is no change. The battery is connected, as clearly the computer is not totally dead with no power adapter. It is able to show “battery not charged” symbol when I try to turn in on without the power adapter. When I disconnect the power adapter after the computer has booted into the OS, the screen goes dark immediately, but after I reconnect the power cord it seems to have successfully hibernated....

I have not bought Batteries from ifix but over time I have bought other things and had no problems at all. But lets assume there was a problem, mistakes, situations, errors happen, it is how we fix them that is what counts and I’m very sure these guys would not turn their back on anyone....
