Chosen Solution Can you clean the dust out with a aircompasser jillthornberry, yes you could do that, but it can leave moisture on your PCB’s from the compressed air. Unless you have an air dryer I would not do it. It is better to use a vacuum cleaner. Watch out for static electricity zapping any components.

Chosen Solution Whenever I try to power on my Mid 2012 MBP it starts to turn on but the sleep indicator light flashes and I hear a feint click and then it turns its self off. Screen stays black the entire time. The click is the hard drive spinning down and the head locking, this is normal. Which the MagSafe plugged in what is the color of the cord?

Chosen Solution It’s a Kenmore Elite Model 85088401 dryer. The control locked light is on and the check lint screen light. I tried holding the “Auto Dry Level” button for 3+ seconds, but nothing happened. Any suggestions? Unplug it for five minutes to allow it to reset. Plug it back in and let us know if it throws any error codes.

Chosen Solution After upgrading to SDD the fan runs at a constant 3800 rpm. I installed OWC Digital Thermal and when that didn’t work I installed Mac Fan Control. The readings for hardware on MFC are normal with nothing peeking over 100°F/37°C. No matter what profile I apply in MFC the fans still spin at 3800rmp. Ran Apple Hardware Test which returned the following error: 4MOT/4/40000003 Main-3827 Update (10/13/2016) Maybe it’s the battery?...

Chosen Solution Initially the fault was determined to be the U2 Tristar Charging IC chip (or whatever it’s called on iPhone 5s). So I got it replaced but I still have the issue of it not charging the battery. Tried another battery, might think of trying another charging port later. But what it does now it can still turn on, every thing works fine (excluding the fingerprint scanner since it got replaced) also the battery does work but does not get charged....

Chosen Solution Hi i was trying to remove an iphone 6 battery so tried prying it out like the instructions says, however i believe i bent and pierced the battery and it started smoking for a few seconds. is it safe to continue taking it out, or will the phone catch on fire? Chosen Solution I replaced the screen and battery on my iPhone 6. the bottom left corner, underneath the screen, looks weird. the screen will not entirely pop into the frame there. how can I fix this? You can try a pair of vice grips or possibly buy a used phone that is iCloud locked and swap the motherboard or buy a new case.

Chosen Solution During the process of replacing the earpiece mesh in an iPhone 6 I seem to have accidentally chipped away some of the black paint which forms the bezel above the screen. Does anyone know what type of paint I should use to restore the bezel? Any advice would be much appreciated! Try using a black permanent marker and see how that goes. If it’s no good you can use 99% isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab to clean out the permanent marker....

Chosen Solution Took the drain out to remove hair from line. Then, I reinstalled and it leaked to the bottom floor. Upon closer examination, the PVC does not sit flush to the tub, which means the rubber gasket is not sealing evenly; it also means that when I tighten down the drain, it doesn’t seat evenly or all the way flat. I used plenty of putty after various attempts to see if it will seal flat, which it just won’t....

Chosen Solution So me overenthusiastic Jack Russell got caught up in my headphones , which were plugged into my macbook at the time , and ended up breaking the jack in half. Trouble is , the second half is all the way up the socket , the macbook thinks it’s connected to headphones and won’t play any sound over the speakers , I have tried using super glue , epoxy , JB Weld to try and get a grip on it and yank it out but to no avail , it’s completely stuck....

Chosen Solution Hey all, I have a MacBook Air that’s been refusing to charge and I noticed upon tearing it down that the 6 pin header for the I/O board has been ripped off the logic board, or at least that’s what it seems. The header can be picked up to reveal 6 equal length pins soldered to the surface of the logic board. If I push down on the header with moderate pressure it completes the circuit and everything works....

Chosen Solution I have a ezgo textron titan (36v) industrial and need to get up hills faster, can i just put a different motor in it? Your motor is your batteries. You might need new batteries. 36v deep cells require regular maintenance. You could have a bad cell and that’s all it takes to keep you from the other side of that hill. Always replace all batteries at the same time even if only 1 tests bad....

Chosen Solution Hi Community. I got my dad’s old MacBook Pro Retina Late 2013 A1398. It works (even the battery does now!), but the keyboard backlight is broken due to liquid spill. Also, it has Danish keyboard. I would like to fix the keyboard backlight, and on that occasion maybe also change the topcase so that it has US keyboard. I work in English so its a bit easier with the US keys and it is of course much easier to find a US keyboard than Danish one....

Also I am not able to purchase the Precision Screw Extractor Set, is there any other way of removing those rusty/stripped screws? Diego Lo, if in an absolute bind, yes you could use ethyl alcohol. Just make sure it does have a high proof and does not contain other chemicals....
