Chosen Solution Hi community, I have a MacBook Pro touch bar 2016 15inch version. I accidentally fryed the power button flex cable at the point where it connects the motherboard and now I ended up with no power button. ( assume the button itself is good) I know simply buying a replace power button lose the Touch ID function. Is there a way to change just the power button flex cable (like a replacement flex cable) , preserving the power button so I will still have Touch ID, or I have to get a new power button?...

Chosen Solution I had a customer bring me an iPad 2 (EMC2415) with a few problems and she wanted to get it repaired before Christmas. Broken screen No power button WiFi not working Ordered the parts and got to replacing them but whether it be my fault or a defective flex cable, the volume down didn’t work on the replacement, so I ordered another one. Mind you that there was still plenty of time to do this repair....

Chosen Solution Can a microwave work without having a door on it? Our door was warped from gas burner below. We ordered a new door with the understanding that it could be returned if it did not work when using microwave. I was then told after trying to return it for the money to go toward a new microwave. I was then told they could not refund our money since the door was not essential for microwave to function....

Thanks for all… That slot is part of the logic board. Like all the other ports and the Graphics Chip it’s not really a user replacement item. That’s not to say it couldn’t be done, but you’ll find it cost prohibitive to: A)....

Chosen Solution My sister snapped my DS Lite into two pieces, I’m not sure if any chords were snapped or not but if there are separate processes for just broken hinges or both torn chords & hinges I could use both descriptions if possible! It’s a childhood toy that I’d like to do my best to repair - Thank you! Hi! Chosen Solution I have a bad bdp-015 circuit card on my ps4. Can I replace it with another bdp-015 or is it a paperweight? You can’t replace it with another board. The large square chip on that board is what is matched to the motherboard. I normally just remove that chip and install it onto another 015 board and that usually works fine.

Chosen Solution i took out the back fan and the cpu fan from the heatsink but also the cpu isnt underneath the heat sink its a couple of inches away from the heat sink and the fan Short answer: NO. This will burn your CPU out, if it doesn’t shut itself down to prevent it from killing the CPU in the first place. HP’s do not run without a fan, or at least become very naggy....

Chosen Solution it fell and would not turn on. 5 months later i charged it for a cuple of hours and when i turned it on , it gave me a black screen with pointer. i ctrl-alt-del and restared it set it up to safe mode everything came up but took 10min or so to load then then stoped working and said it faild to created a security ___. then it went black with pointer....

Chosen Solution I’m wondering if it is possible to upgrade the ssd in this laptop Hi Colin, The SSD should be a M.2 form factor and is replaceable. Check this link for the service guide, and look around P19-20. Before purchasing a new SSD, I would suggest you to open the laptop and visually inspect the SSD to make sure it is the same form factor as the replacement.

Chosen Solution I bought a dsi as “not working “ and found that the power connector on the board is broken off. (the little white port with the red and black cables). The metal connections look too small to solder. Is it possible to fix this? Maybe with some electrical tape to press the connector to the metal points? Update (07/05/2021) This part has completely come away. @darrencmx it is the front two (the ones with the + and - symbol) that are the ones that get the power....

Chosen Solution Don’t ask why I want to do this. Can you transfer the Touch ID button from a non home button iPad to an iPhone and more specifically to an iPhone SE 1st gen? With or without asking why you want to do this, no. 🙈 No sorry. Home buttons are programmed to the original motherboard. Plus the ribbon connections are totally different.

Chosen Solution I’m guessing because of the similar sizes of the phones, the battery from the 7 can be used for the 8. Is it possible and has anyone tried it? I ask this because it seems that the iPhone 7 has more mAh in its battery and this could make your 8’s battery life even better. Just curious lol So I did some research on the internet and discovered that they appear to be physically the same size....

Chosen Solution Hello guys, I was doing a battery replacement on my mid-2012 retina MacBook Pro and I was a tad confuddled by how the battery connector removed. On my third attempt, I managed to knock a fuse (from what I’ve Googled) off the logic board that was near the connector. I tried Googling and using schematics to find out what that fuse does and the current / resistance measurement so I can replace the fuse....

Chosen Solution My iPhone is constantly searching for a signal and never finds one. Chosen Solution My screen is cracked bottom left, and top right corners. The screen touch works fine but the screen goes black simetimes, except the top 1/2 cm works. The screen always works when I tap once to turn on the screen saver. The screen works sometimes and it flickers sometimes too. I don’t want to replace the screen. Hi @samgr, What’s your alternative? Chosen Solution Hi I’m interested in going ahead to refurbish iphone screens, but using the LOCA method isn’t quite great, as some of the glue can get into the backlight. And even trying to solder a new one in and cleaning off the back before applying, the results, are not fantastic. So I want to go down the OCA route. Saying this, it is also a difficult repair and you will damage things opening it. Opening it will also make it lose its water resistance, I would highly recommend you take it to the Apple Store. :-)

Chosen Solution Hi, can someone tell me the value (Ohms) of R1103 Resistor near the audio IC. I removed the Audio IC to make a jumper on C12 ( R1103) resistor but the R1103 is missing so i need to know if i can make a jumper without the resistor (If the value is around 10 Ohms) According to the schematic it is a 33.2 ohm resistor. http://prntscr.com/mze1fz
