Chosen Solution I love the feel of the MBP keys. I’ve bought three Magic keyboards over the last few years, but only one had the same feel (It broke and I recycled it, stupidly). Now I’m using the Magic Keyboard 2 (Not the latest one with Touch ID), but I hate the slippery and clicky feel, so much less grip. Chosen Solution Rather than replace the U2 chip can it be repaired with heat? That depends on what the root problem is. If the U2 chip is defective, no amount of reflowing or reballing is going to solve the problem. Considering that a replacement IC is relatively inexpensive, the best option is to replace it. That way, if the problem had to do with faulty connections or oxidized “balls” or pads, this can be fixed while replacing the IC....

Here you can get parts as well as free guides and great advice to fix it yourself. since you already have the display, use this guide to change it. Hope this helps, good luck.

Hi, If the case is cracked there, it may also be that the audio socket has come loose from the systemboard. Do you get “stereo” audio or only “mono” audio output for the headphones? Try adjusting the audio to left and right speaker to check if there is audio for both channels. If only for one channel here’s a link to the service manual for the laptop....

Chosen Solution 27” Thunderbolt display. LCD element works. The LED backlight, not so much. With brightness turned all the way down, a picture is faintly visible. Turn the brightness up, and the backlight cuts out. It’s kind of like a 3-way lightbulb (remember those?), on which only the lowest-wattage setting works. This started a couple weeks ago, intermittently at first, then all the time. Monitor wasn’t bumped or relocated when it failed, so I doubt it’s a loose connection....

The repairguy said I got liquid damage on the battery but he said the logic boards battery connector might be damaged but it seems to work… Is there any way I can check for myself if the battery connector on the logic board is working without buying a new battery?...
Chosen Solution Hello everyone, A month ago I, using all my wisdow, cleaned my lightning dock on my iphone 5s. I screwed it with the tweezers I was using. I did not brake any pins but I really bend one of them. I fixed it pulling it back but my phone began to drain the battery. Bought a dock replacement and the phone is like before: it charges but drain the battery (in stand by) in 3 hours....

Problem is that there are broken headband pieces in the right hinge, preventing its ability to fold. How can I remove the broken pieces in the hing? Much appreciated. You can take a plastic spudger tool or a plastic razor blade or something similar, and stick them in the seam beneath the gold piece that says “Studio” and slide the spudger towards the driver and the plastic piece should pop out....
