Chosen Solution As stated in the title the bottom mic is not working after I replaced the whole bottom connector unit with a 3rd party one. It appears to me as if the mic is not in line with the whole in the case. I cannot aline it properly as its position is pretty much fixed by the cable it is attached to. And idea what I could do? Chosen Solution Tried to type is my passcode and numbers 7,8,9 were non responsive causing me to restore. After restoring the passcode was removed, but the bottom row of icons were still unresponsive. The middle and upper half of the touchscreen still works fine. HB SA, sounds like a bad digitizer. Replacing the complete display assembly should fix this. Hope this helps, good luck.

Chosen Solution A piece of plastic melted on our dishwasher (66515113K216) heating element, and within a few weeks the heating element failed at that spot. We ran it for a few more months before I ordered the replacement part. Once installed, the new heating element didn’t work. I can’t imagine multiple things failed at once, unless the fault in the old heating element may have “blown” something else. I replaced the high limit thermostat as it seemed like the most likely culprit, but no joy....

First the existing NAND IC has to be desoldered and “read” via a specialized NAND programmer to get all the metadata (SN# etc). Then the other NAND IC will have to be desoldered from the donor board. It will then be programmed with the previous metadata and then re-soldered onto the logic board....

Chosen Solution it got in to water xD jovan hanwan , Here at ifixit are volunteers to answer repair questions on various devices, we do not do repairs here. My advice is for you to stop charging or powering up your device until the liquid damage is addressed correctly, as you could be shorting out components inside the phone. You really should take care of the corrosion that is happening inside the phone from the water damage as that could be your problem....

Chosen Solution When reconnecting the cable for the card reader next to the ODD fan I initially put it in the wrong way round. I think this may have damaged or squished the pins on the motherboard. I subsequently connected it the right way round but now the card reader is not found. Is it worth trying to realign the pins or can I consider it failed permanently. Unless it is trivial to realign the pins of these connectors, it’s not worth opening up the unit again as I don’t use the card reader that often and there’s numerous alternatives (usb/device, etc) Is it easy to realign the pins on the logic board connector?...

After a minute or so i have hit the caps lock key and it lights up. Also at start up the fan comes on and the cd/dvd spins.
