Chosen Solution So i dissasabled my Macbook to change 7 year old thermal paste and when i get to CPU i can only see the big part (gpu?) Covered in thermal paste, is this okay and i should only apply it on the big part or also apply it on the smaller one? The bigger chip is the CPU and the smaller chip is the I/O chip. People have argued if the I/O chip should have paste or not of years....
Chosen Solution model nr is A1181. The whole edge is cracked chipped and fallen off. My problem, I think is derived from this. My trackpad will register mouse button press if I put pressure anywhere on the upper case (except the other buttons ;) ) be it finger or elbow. Is this because of the missing edge? And where can I buy a upper case with Norwegian keyboard layout? You can “norwegize” your keyboard by just swapping the required keycaps....
Chosen Solution nothing works with the cruise, the “cruise on " indicator light doesn’t come on when I push the cruise on/off button on steering wheel 2012 town and country john b , Defective speed sensor, bad cruise switch/wire connection, bad brake light switch,etc can cause cruise not to work properly. Chosen Solution I changed the battery of my iphone x max and it stopped showing. They told me that from iphone x if you replace the battery it does that. Is that true or is the battery fake? You changed it yourself? Or you had it changed by a repair shop? If you replaced it yourself, with a third party battery, then yes. This is normal behavior. If it was replaced by a shop and it is not reporting battery health, or gives a message that the battery may not be genuine, then there are a few scenarios, but the most likely is that they installed a third party battery (which may be fine, but if they told you it was an original Apple battery, this is almost certainly not true) With the iPhone XS series (including XR) and newer, the battery is programmed to the actual phone during repair, if it was replaced by an Apple Authorized business....

Chosen Solution I have a monitor where the logic board can move in freely case after opening it I can see all the tape that was holding it place has been ripped and all the plastic pins that hold in place are broken. So I am thinking fully taping the board down, but I am not sure if regular duct tape will melt/burn in there. I am tempted to just use gaffer tape to hold it together....

Chosen Solution I have a MacBook Unibody Model A1342 with what I think is a broken Magsafe DC. I think it is the Magsafe because when I connect it to the charger it will not light up or anything and even if the battery was dead the computer should still power up when I have the charger connected. I have a friend who is willing to give me their old MacBook Model A1181 and I want to replace the Magsafe of the A1342 with the A1181....

Since I didn’t work on or remove that portion of the phone, what could I have done to cause this? @refectio Did you disconnect the Lightning Port connector by any chance? It is surrounded by small components, some of which directly communicate with the headphone jack....
