Chosen Solution Spilled coffee (with milk) on the keyboard. Now the keyboard works sporadically. Works perfectly when connected to an external keyboard. Is there a way I can repair the keyboard? Read some answers on iFixit. Some say replace the top case while others suggest replacing the keyboard. Is there a difference between the two? Thanks Abhishek You can try Dan’s suggestion on cleaning the uppercase but I doubt it will work....

Chosen Solution I bought a 13" unibody MBP not too long ago, and it runs well, but the casing is in rough shape. There are scratches all over the lid and the bottom, the keyboard is dirty, and the bottom cover is held on by just one screw. I’m trying to find a for parts MBP that I can salvage the casing from, but I’m not having any luck finding the same model as mine....

Chosen Solution Hello, I now dealing with an issue with my MBP mid 2010. Press start button and computer starts up (including boot chime), but screen stays gray. If i shine flashlight on screen i can see apple logo, spinning cursor and loading bar. The bar does not load but remains on screen for 3-5 minutes then vanishes but spinning cursor and logo remains indefinitely and no sign in screen I have tried all different key press combinations to reset SMC, PRAM, NVRAM, Safe Mode, Single Mode but nothing changes the above sequence....

The DVD drive, main battery, and the PRAM battery are dead; and the LCD backlight, latch, and hinge are failing. Because I can’t justify the cost of the replacement battery and such, and due to the damaged LCD panel and hinge, I plan to use it as a small desktop Mac, with an external display, keyboard/mouse, and DVD drive attached....

Chosen Solution Its not really kinddle 3 its prestigio liberrto but they look similar. i cant find replacement battery for this ebook reader, can i just solder similar lion battery wires to these 3 contacts? am guessing +, -, and BSI? My problem is i dont know what generic lion has 3rd wire for bsi or what ever this 3rd one is, i guess i can also short - and that third one and try like that?...

Chosen Solution Dead gopro 4 silver even with fully charged battery Hi If your GoPro isn’t turning on I would try a good SDcard (that’s compatible)and if you have tried that ,open it up and have a look for anything strange in the main board Keep a eye out for corrosion as it’s quite common on GoPros as people sometimes forget to put the waterproof housings on them Here’s a guide on dismantling it GoPro Hero4 Silver Motherboard Replacement If you see any corrosion try cleaning it away with some isopropyl alcohol If it’s all clean on the main board I would start looking at the flex cables and if they are all good try plugging it into the GoPro Quik app as it might just need a update Hopefully this helps Any questions please ask Thanks:-)

Chosen Solution After replacing my battery (with a battery sold at an external website) the percentage is still dropping heavily. In like 1 hour of usage and 2 hours of standby it is dropped to ~62%. Though, at a certain moment, it does not drop this fast anymore. It seems like it is not calibrated well.. On top of that, coconut battery is not able to determine battery cycle count(it says that the cycle count is still 1 after multiple charge cycles) and it’s maximum capacity....

Chosen Solution Hey Community - looking to see if anyone else ran into this issue. Replaced the battery in my 11 Pro and now it constantly is heating up and rebooting. I also tried the old battery and same issue so I don’t think it’s the battery. I did have to go the alcohol route to remove some of the adhesive (battery was unplugged on both ends) so I’m not sure if that got in somewhere it shouldn’t have....

Chosen Solution Hi! I’ve purchased piles of clamshells from recyclers which have “ABC School District” or similar text etched/scratched/etc. into the plastic on the top of the case. I need to remove this before re-selling the machines because recyclers are required to remove the previous identities of the machines they take in. Does anyone know a good way to do this kind of thing without making a total mess? The text itself is scratched into the plastic and pretty low-profile as-is, however I know it will look horrible if I take my Dremel to it....

From then on the laptop in not powering on. No sound or fan powering up. If i connect charger, the charging light on laptop is not turning on. Completely dead. Chosen Solution I m stucked at bios password….system disabled code : 67633417, compaq presario cq42…plz help You would need to remove the CMOS battery and the actual battery to reset the BIOS and hope that that fixes it. The cmos battery is a little silver disk probably under the ram cover on the back. Remove the ram cover and the battery if its there. Once its removed and the main battery should have been removed before you even started....

Chosen Solution I’ve checked for previous questions seems that nobody has had an issue like mine. my ps3 works fantastic. model#CECHL01 its an 08 model, and still like new , the only issue I’m having is nothing bluetooth works, mic, controllers I’ve even bought new controllers nothing…I reset controllers and system same result, help what is problem so that i can use the wireless devises on my ps3 it sounds to me like maybe your bluetooth module is bad…there are a few on ebay here…....

Chosen Solution Hello, My sister’s iPhone seems to have developed a fault. It originally started with the phone randomly rebooting under battery power and then getting stuck on the apple logo. Once on the apple logo, it would continuously boot loop and not move past the apple logo. So it’d basically come on with the logo, wait a bit and then reboot. If I plugged the phone into the mains, it would power up fine and then work....

Chosen Solution I replcaed my phone screen about a month ago using one of the guiides on this website. Everything worked fine. Then out of no where the bottom half of the screen stopped working and I cant use the keyboard or anything. Im not sure what to do. Well a super temporary fix is to use landscape mode. Chosen Solution i just bought a brand new battery but my computer still wont turn on. when i plus the charger in, the side turns green but i press the apple on button and it wont turn on? help Hi, try reseting the SMC and VRAM, same thing happened to me, as soon as i disconnected the magsafe, it shut down. To reset : turn off your mac locate P R Command and Control (alt) turn on the mac and hold P+R+Cmd+alt until your hear the second starting chime release and check the battery Hope it will work

Chosen Solution The place where the charger plugs into the ipod is broken (metal wired damaged) can this be fixed??? 30 GIG has video and pix So with broken firewire ports I’ve heard of people moving around the pins with a paperclip or something similar and trying to realign them, doesn’t necessarily last or work, but worth a try. Maybe you can upload a picture of the damage so people here can see and give suggestions....

Hi, Do you also get no sound when you try a different input sources, e.g HDMI, AVI etc Check the Sound settings (see image) to ensure that the correct option is selected for your situation. I’m not sure if it uses fuses, but it sounds like the actual speaker could have been damaged.
