Chosen Solution Elmo Live was such a great toy. Now he still wants to function, but stays “hunched over”. I want to repair him if at all possible. Not sure how to do it though. Chosen Solution Hello! Can i set up SSD with sata 3 in my 2010 imac? or it will be working with just sata 2 and 3Gb/s? Will the difference be between Wd 7200 drive and this ssd with sata 2? Thank you! Your are correct EveryMac says it’s likely a SATA II, so, a SATA III drive would be backward compatible at the lower speed. Chosen Solution Our iBook G4 Model A1054 was being used on battery. By the time we realized the power cord would no longer go in - the machine had already went to sleep mode. Now we have no way to power it up to turn it off. Will this harm the computer? Is there some other way to turn it off? Chosen Solution I need help identifying a component. It’s either a resistor or a capacitor that I think has failed. When I put a meter across the said component the light comes on momentarily. Chosen Solution Can the USB socket be replaced without replacing the motherboard? The USB socket is soldered to the motherboard, so it can not be easily replaced without replacing the motherboard. In theory the socket could be replaced with some careful soldering work if you could get your hands on a replacement socket. For someone experienced with replacing small components on circuit boards I’m sure it would be possible, but if you are a beginner with this sort of thing you may do more damage to the circuit board by overheating it....

Chosen Solution I recently replaced the mac keybaord+trackpad assembly because the keyboard went haywire randomly. After the replacement, the system doesn’t sleep when lid is closed. Tried resetting the SMC and PRAM. I think its a sleep/close lid sensor issue? Any help how i can locate the sensor, and make sure its the issue before ordering a part. I saw videos for MBP to put the system to sleep using magnet....

Chosen Solution I have a 44m stainless steel apple watch 4. The screen detached (possibly while charging), but other than that everything seems to work including the force touch sensor. I brought it in to apple genius bar and they suggested that I have it sent in to repair depot. I was told that if the detached screen was caused by a swollen battery, the repair would be free. The repair depot found that the battery was not swollen and wanted $519 + tax (CAD) for repair....

Chosen Solution Hello everyone, so recently I was supposed to replace my friends iPhone 6S Plus screen. Everything went smoothly during testing, but when unplugging the flex cables, I accidentally tore the touch ID screen flex cable. So, the home button will not respond to presses or touch. The home button itself is fine, just the flex that connects to the screen is torn. I was wondering if it was possible to take the metal shield off of an old iPhone 6 Plus screen and use it, or are they not interchangeable?...

Chosen Solution Hello, I have an iPad Pro 10.5 64GB WiFi+Cellular (A1709) from a friend at home. He told me after the iOS 13.2 update his screen quit working. He mainly uses the iPad with an HDMI adapter and he says its displaying just fine on the TV, but nothing on the iPad itself. So I allready tried the following: Checked that all buttons work (with “Realtime Screen” from “3utools”) - all of them do what they are supposed to Battery is charging just fine 84% as we speak Displaying the image on the computer again with “Realtime Screen” from “3utools” - works great Backlight goes (quite dimmly though) on when starting the iPad, and off when clicking the power button Tried twice to reset the device with home button + power for around 30 sec, the iPad seems to restart as you can see the backlight going off and after a short while on again Would you open the device and try with a know good screen, or would you try to install another version of iOS or maybe other suggestions....

Chosen Solution Hello, A few days ago I managed to drop some water on the left side of my Macbook, it entered the USB / DisplayPort etc… It turned itself off immediately, I unplugged it from the charger turned it on it’s left side to let the water out and it stayed like that for about 5 hours. Later I took off the bottom cover, there was some moisture near the Battery connector but no major damage or corrosion anywhere....
