Chosen Solution Whilst installing a second hard drive, I managed to damage the connector on the logic board that handles wifi/bluetooth/isight camera. Of these things, the bluetooth and the camera both still work fine, but i have no AirPort card showing up in my system profiler - one of the pins on the cable end looks slightly bent, but bends back into line, but one of the pins on the logic board end seems slightly out of place....

It didn’t break, it seems to pop off the case and I did not find back the glass. A lot of tutorials suggest to simply buy a glass and put some glue. Everything went well and new camera is working, but after that we got a new problem with battery. Normally battery goes empty really fast. Chosen Solution There is a black spot and some lines on the camera screen Shruti Nair could be a bad LCD. If those lines are only on your display but not on the pictures you are taking, you know it is the LCD that needs to be replaced. Use this guide to replace it.

I’m currently working on a mid-2010 i7 iMac that had exhibited signs of potential logic board failure (intermittently not recognizing installed RAM and beeping during POST, random self-restarting if you can get it to boot, etc). In the midst of replacing the board, I noted that there is a substantial area of bubbling on the underside of the power supply board (see attached picture). I have seen similar bubbling on much older circuit boards (for example in 1990’s BOSCH Motronic ECU’s in cars) that would indicate a failure....

I manged to disassemble the lens and clean out the sand. I tested the camera while still disassembled and it seemed to work - the lens mechanism was still a bit noisy so I decided to remove all the grease and clean it thoroughly before applying fresh grease....

Chosen Solution I was trying to remove the battery of the phone to get to the display and accidentally popped off a surface mount component with the spudger. I think it might be a diode and it doesn’t look broken, I believe a dot of welding would fix it. It was fixed right below the back camera, on the left side. There are two of them side by side, easy to see....

The antenna is not interchangeable and therefore is not backwards or forewords compatible. The connector is a little bit different on the 6S Plus.
