Chosen Solution I am trying to save some battery. Can you put it into sleep mode without stopping the music? (Similar to ipod touch?) I know you can do it with the 6th gen but any way to do so with the 5th generation. I think your confusing things a bit here. The screen goes dark after a period of time (which you can set), review your settings. It doesn’t go into sleep mode (none of the iPods do when they are playing)....

Chosen Solution Are the fans for the GPU and CPU the same on ASUS g73jh laptop? Just need to replace them but need to know if the GPU one is the same as CPU one. I have replaced the faulty fan, and I removed them both for cleaning and both the GPU and CPU fas are exactly the same, just one is mounted face down , that why they look different in the guide, but they are 100% interchangeable and the same....

Chosen Solution do I have to replace the entire thermal fuse or can I repair the black wire connection to the fuse? The wire sparked and blew when the backing hit it when I took it off. The burn mark on the machine caused by the spark must have occurred because there must have been power still connected to the machine when you removed the backing plate or cover....

Chosen Solution After updating my iphone from iOS 8 to iOS 9.1 the auto brightness toggle went missing. It is not appearing in Settings-> Display&Brightness or anywhere else in Settings. I have tried DFU Restore, Reset all settings, hard restart and still it is missing. I’ve updated to iOS 9.3 but still no result. With the slider for brightness I can change the brightness and it is working fine. I remember having solved this on an iPhone 4S, the problem was not in the light sensor, was another piece that was giving short circuit on the plate....

Chosen Solution Hello, I have a Toshiba 50L711U18, the backlight is not turning on. Tried using a flashlight and I can see an image. My phone also tries to connect to the chromecast on it as well. These two things are telling me that the T-con board and the main board are most likely working properly. I opened up the front of the display to get at the backlights. When testing them I noticed that a few of them are a dark blue, almost purple color....

Chosen Solution CoconutBattery shows the battery is under charge Charging with 24.3 Watts so it just maybe you’re rushing things. It does take a good 12 - 16 hours to fully charge a new battery. You may want to review the MagSafe connections to make sure the contacts are clean and the insulating block is not melted.

Chosen Solution Dear iFixit, After self replacing 3rd set of new battery for 5s, I noticed the battery percentage won’t increase despite showing charging. I read similar problems and solutions, tried warming battery by hair dryer and charged to 100% once, but on next charging attempt same issue raised. I read about missing F11 component, so opened the logic board and found it on place, but I doubt another component next to it to be missing....

Hi @spongebobsquare , I think that the battery may be failing and needs to be replaced. Chosen Solution I replaced a badly damaged screen and I don’t get anything when I try to power it on but when I connect a lightning cable I just get a boot loop. I have already tried to disconnect the proximity sensor and turn it on and it still doesn’t work. Any idea? Sounds like a battery problem. If the battery was working before you will need to check the battery connector on the logic board....

Chosen Solution After putting a new screen on my 5s it kept showing the bsod so I decided to try to restore the phone but about 8 seconds after the progress bar not moving it shows the bsod and then gos back into dfu mode! And on the computer it shows that “error 9” is the problem but I changed the port that I was using to a different one on it and bought a new cable and tried it but still shows “error 9” Any advice?...
