When we opened up the computer and tried to fix it, we found out that the power supply lights up green when the 4 pin connector is attached to the motherboard, but the power supply turns off when the 8 pin main connector is hooked in....

Perhaps jack the front of car up, support on stands safely and carefully try running in gear to make sure the noise is coming from driven wheel/axle area and not from engine compartment....

I argued with HTC support, and they repaired mine, even though it was out of warranty. However, this was 3 years ago, and it may be too late to get them to fix it. I suggest contacting HTC anyway and telling them that you know it is a common defect and they were repairing it....

If i was to remove the glass front panel, and replace it with the display bezel from a Matte Screened Version (eg here http://www.flickr.com/photos/inknoise/38… ) would the LCD that is currently behind the glass behave like a matte version or would it be unsuitable....

Chosen Solution Hello, My iphone 6s plus can’t recognize SIM card however all other functions work well by using wifi mode. Apple service center told me that main board is faulty. May I ask your opinion if the main board need to be replaced? If you have tried several sims, then more than likely it’s the main board. There are services where the sim tray can be removed and a new one can be soldered on, but they probably aren’t too cheap since this service requires someone who is highly skilled....

Thank you The processor (CPU) can physically be removed and replaced with a faster one but it is very difficult and expensive and rarely cost-effective. The best upgrade is to maximize the memory (2 or 4 gigs depending on exact model), upgrade to Windows 7 (64 bit if you have 4 gigs of memory) and install a 7200 rpm hard drive....

James, If your comfortable with electronics and soldering, then yes by all means remove defective capacitor and locate a new one and replace it. Good luck with your project.

Hi @lando916 Try opening the watch to find the battery model number printed on the battery and search online for (insert model number) battery to hopefully find suppliers. Looking at the ifixit Apple Watch SE Battery Replacement guide, the image in Step.19 shows that the battery model number is an A2181 which seems to be used in the Apple 44mm Series 5 and SE models....
