Chosen Solution My brother has a Mid-2012 Macbook Air 11". He was recently on a flight and was trying to place his bag (which held the Macbook Air) into the cabin compartment. Unfortunately, he lost his grip and the bag feel onto the ground. A couple of hours later when he went to turn the Macbook and that’s where he first noticed the problem with the backlight. He says that when he first turned it on, the screen was very dim, but he was able to make out a dialog box on MacOS....

This system can only go up to El Capitan (10.11.x) with that said, Yosemite (10.10.x) has a slightly smaller footprint so you might want to use it if you only have 4 GB of RAM. But, make sure the Apps you are planing on using will run under it (or what ever OS you are planning)....

On older models like the 5c I was usually able to roll it all up in on big piece, but I guess the iphone 6 uses a different type of glue because it won’t really do that. Currently I am using alcohol wipes or just putting some 91% alcohol on a microfiber cloth....

Chosen Solution Basically, I repaired a iPhone 6 with a broken screen and after putting it all back together, I tried turning it on and no luck. I then left it charging for 10 minutes and it finally vibrated and made the charging sound, but the screen was still black. Every five seconds or so it will make the charging chime sound. I tried every trick in the book such as redoing the screen replacement process, disconnecting and reconnecting the battery etc....

I know that some iPads also use it. Its got a metal like mesh underneath a cloth like tape. Chosen Solution Hi, I’ve just replaced my dead drive and I’m experiencing a blank startup manager (with cursor and no buttons), the machine will not boot from original install media (keeps ejecting it), it will boot in target disk mode… …if left to it’s on devices I get flashing folder and question mark. Reset NVRAM, SCM, OF… …no joy. I’m about to remove the drive to format it and was wondering if there’s anything else you’d recommend....

Chosen Solution Hello! I found a problem/issue with JBL Flip 5 bluetooth audio device. Here is my scene: turn on the JBL flip 5 connect the phone(Xiaomi Note 8 Pro) via Bluetooth to the JBL. then play youtube or offline music player… Rezults are: the sound is making interruption on each 2 seconds. This is happening only with JBL. After i test it with other bluetooth audio devices(china stuff) is work perfect....

Chosen Solution I have a hp split 13 x2 m010dx and it doesnt have a good processor that will do much, I am on a tight budget and I cant afford a new one right now, however I am thinking about either putting a motherboard maybe from the r010dx hp split or manuaally upgrading the fan with maybe a better motor if its possible to overclock? any ideas? installing a motherboard from a different model wont work....

Tlmo Farrelly not unless you have and LCD separator and have plenty of experience in re-adhering the glass, digitizer to the LCD after wards. If you do not have the tools or the experience, it will most likely cost you more than it would to replace the complete assembly.

The processor, RAM and pretty much everything else on the iPad is all attached to the mainboard… with no real way to remove them. You won’t be able to swap parts from either generation to the other....

Chosen Solution i see there is space for a 2nd hard drive in the mac mini mid 2011 but what about the cable you need for the motherboard? Wait a month and there will be knock offs of the Apple cable. Check with OWC as they will probably have it first. Hello, according to what I found on the net, there are no schematic for Playstation 4 motherboards, the only solution is to find another one and directly measure the capacitance, make sure to desolder the capacitor before measuring otherwise you’ll get wrong value....

Chosen Solution Yes, I am fully charged and wifi is connected with a strong signal. Why is it shutting down? Thank you. The battery has probably reached the end of its useful life. Replacing the battery will probably fix that.

Chosen Solution Coolpix L32 purchased 2 weeks ago. I took a couple pictures, and then put it away. Now it comes on, but as I’m trying menu the on/off button starts flashing green and everything else goes dark; then it turns off entirely. I first used the batteries that came with it, and then switched to a brand new package of batteries. Same problem. May have found answer in Reference Manual (google for PDF file)....

Chosen Solution Dear iFixit community, I own an Apple MacBook Pro 2016 15 inch model with the german keyboard layout (i.e. A1707 model with the second generation butterfly keys). In an attempt to fix a sticky key I removed the enter-key myself and broke a part of the plastic hinge in the process. Now I am looking for a replacement key for the enter-key for the german keyboard layout. The mechanism still seems to work just perfectly fine, as far as I can see only a small part of the plastic hinge and one of the four small double pins of the enter-key itself, which connect to the plastic hinge, is broken....

Chosen Solution I noticed two speaker grilles - either side of the dock connector on my iPhone 3G. While playing any sound, if I put my finger over the left grille sound all but disappears, I can still hear a little but only high frequencies from the right grille. If I block the right grille, I hear no difference. So the question: are there two speakers in the bottom of the iPhone 3G, and is one of mine possibly damaged?...

Chosen Solution Hi, I swapped my iPhone 6 housing and now I have bad signal. I swapped al the tiny metal parts and I’ve done it before and I haven’t experienced any problems before. Will a fake, Aliexpress housing decrease cellular signal? Or is this a motherboard problem? Tried everything and nothing works. The sim card has good signal in other iPhones and I even tried the original metal parts from an working iPhone 6....
