Chosen Solution Hi, when I start to use my HP G60, the screen develops into a uniformed, hounds-tooth check. Any ideas? George George, try to start it in safe mode, check the display with a lower resolution. Reinstall your video driver. Should that yield no change, open your laptop and check to make sure that all your cable, in particular the LVDS is properly seated. Install an external display and see if that shows the same pattern....

Got a 17" Intel with a ’lines on screen problem’, so I acquired a suitable laptop screen and an adapter from realmacmods. Came to fit it - didn’t work - fans blowing fast - white LED on. So I refitted the old screen - same result. Then I reseated the RAM, reset SMC more than once - same result....

Everything is working fine except the backlight will not turn on. I tried swapping out the LCD screen but that did not solve the problem. The other memory bank is perfect, no matter what brand or what capacity the second bank works. How can I fix Bank 1 memory in Mac Mini 2012 to recognize RAM? The Ambilight only uses a few LED strips (one each side and not sure but maybe on top or bottom as well), but it seems as there could be a screen LED backlight problem, either with the backlights themselves or in the power board....
Chosen Solution IPAD mini 1 (1432) have a new touch screen, new LCD, new battery, computer recognizes device. I have checked the black light fuse and the LCD diode and both appear to work. Any other ideas as to what could be wrong? Have you checked the voltage generated by the PMIC (U8100)? It should be 20.4V . Even if the diode and filter are okay, that doesn’t mean there is any voltage going to to the backlight....
