Chosen Solution My iPhone has got a new battery and everything thing worked well until it turned off. So long it was on everything was ok. But when it turned off, it stopped charging and will not charge or turn on. A new battery has helped, but once it is off problem comes again. Charging IC fault. If the previous battery went flat and phone wouldn’t charge it is because the faulty charging IC causes the phone to not be able to charge a flat battery....

Chosen Solution I have an IBM ThinkPad T30. Some buttons broke and the keys are missing. Some are missing membranes and some with them won’t work. I want to get a new keyboard for it, but $40 seems steep for a keyboard. Could I use a Keyboard from another ThinkPad model? Some like the T23 look like they would work but I don’t want to risk buying one if it doesn’t work....

Chosen Solution In disconnecting the digitizer cable connector, in trying to replace the front panel on my iPhone 5s, I accidentally unconnected a small rectangular connector next to the battery (not the LCD or front facing camera, they were already off.) Now it won’t go back on, Is there a trick to it? it looks like its broken and the connector above doesnt seem to be in good condition either

Chosen Solution I would like to tape a crack in a hair dryer but want to be sure the tape will not melt or catch fire. What kind of tape is best to use? @sherylchi for as long as the crack is not near the heating element or the front of the hair dryer,you can use any good duct tape. Of course make sure that you do not occlude the air inlet....

Chosen Solution I’m in the market for the iPhone 4 Display Assembly (GSM/AT&T) offered on iFixit.com for $119.95. Looking elsewhere I can find them anywhere from $25-$40. This has to be apples and oranges, but I cannot tell the difference. The cheap versions claim to be OEM, and look the same. They must be garbage compared to the iFixit product, but I would appreciate knowing why before I buy it so I feel justified....

Chosen Solution I bought this phone for what i thought would be an easy fix n flip. The power button and back camera werent working. I replaced both parts. However, while doing so, much to my horror I noticed the phone was water damaged. Replacing the parts fixed the power button, but the back camera still doesnt work. The u3200 chip and that area had a slight bit of green corrosion, so i cleaned it gently with alcohol....

Chosen Solution The Back light on the iPod is very dim. Altering the settings makes no difference. How can I fix this? Here is a link to service providing repair guides. Just select yours from the list and you should find your answer. Just double checked and for some reason it skips from second gen to 4th gen. Perhaps looking at both will help[ you. Chosen Solution the small hinged door that closes over the battery compartment is broken. Can i get a new one? It looks simple to replace thank you for your advice. Chosen Solution Open my phone as water damaged. Tried to take out battery with screwdriver. Spark came from the battery and now its bent. Can I still replace the battery or not? Pictures would help us assess. A screw driver was probably far too narrow to remove a battery. Also far too rigid. I use a broad thin opening tool. like this Work your way around the battery prying and applying only enough pressure to slowly release adhesive....

Chosen Solution Hello, My macbook just hunge and i press the power shutdown him off when i boot it up just got blue screen with black line i think i try to reinstall the Osx and the Disk Utility can’t show up just same blu screen! If the system appeared to be loading the OS from an external disk try connecting an external monitor to see if the display is gone....

Chosen Solution After tearing the whole Mac apart and putting everything back the camera hardware can’t be found. I never had this problem before, always careful with everything. Maybe the camera was already broken, don’t know and don’t want to ask the customer yet. Got the cable out of it socket 3 times now but no go. Also attached my external hdd with OS X to see if it’s not a software problem but still the same....

Chosen Solution I kept trying to use a regular USB mouse (EMO-128-USB with cable, not wireless) on my MacBook (laptop) and when I plugged it I got a message that the device was using too much power or something. It never turned on but did’t harm my MacBook either. Then I plugged the same mouse on my desktop computer and right away the computer turned off and there was smoke coming out of the USB port where I plugged it....

Chosen Solution Can i charge à rechargable battery directly from à power source without going throughout à charger? I have bluetooth speaker which is charger using à mini USB port. The USB plug has been destroyed and is no longer usable. Taling the speaker apart I can see where the battery attaches to the PC board. If I ’tap in’ to the wires going from the battery to the board and attach a 5V 1A power source, everything seems to work OK....
