Chosen Solution My first year with LED Christmas Lights. I know that LEDs are DC. But these work off of house current/voltage. Is there a way to change them to DC, where I can connect them to a battery or some other power source? (Cut the plug end off or something?) I have a host of LED Xmas lights up this year. Broadly falling into 2 types. Power and controller (flash rate/pattern etc) in 1 unit - you’d need a DC-AC inverter to run these Power adapter with the controller separated on the cable - look at the power adapter it should have a DC voltage and current (amps) spec on it....

Chosen Solution My 3G battery lasts only for a few minutes. A friend gave me a broken 2G phone that evidently has a fresh battery. Does anyone know if i can use the 2G battery in the 3G phone. That would save me the time and money of having to send my 3G in for battery replacement. Thanks. No, according to the part’s product page, it only will work in 1st gen phones....

Chosen Solution Hello ifixit I was wondering if it was possible to put all the iPhone 3GS components motherboard, basically the whole phone into an iphone 4 housing! The reason for this is because I like the iphone 4 design but I’m pretty satisfied with the iPhone 3GS except the design! Anyway know how to do this or have done it before? Lately though my USB ports aren’t working. If I connect an external drive, the light will come on, but the computer wont recognize them. this also works with my iphone. Both ports do not connect or recharge my phone....

The issue I am having is, when the battery gets very low, the computer shuts down completely rather than just going to sleep, which has resulted in data loss in a few cases. I have reset the SMC twice and have followed numerous sets of steps to calibrate the battery....

Chosen Solution My cpu cooling fan needs a manual boost to start turning. What will a remedy be. Herman Moothery , If you find yourself having to prod the fan to get it to spin, replace the CPU fan as it is sticking and probably faulty/worn out, new fan is inexpensive insurance to keep the CPU cool. Chosen Solution I replaced battery by myself yesterday, and I think I broke one of the ribbons, and then my built-in trackpad and keyboard can’t be used anymore I can still use my macbook pro by using external magic keyboard and mouse, but it seems I can’t disable my trackpad, it keep connecting and disconnecting constantly. I can disable my internal keyboard using 3rd party app Karabiner, but still can’t disable my built-in trackpad because the option is not visible (in my sytem preference)...

Chosen Solution Extra RAM slots not normally made end-user available mihaly_k , I believe there will be one empty ram slot and one on board chip(see ram installation guide link below). Check your computer spec.s for recommended Ram upgrade(max.)using your manual or a search with your exact model#. Good luck. Chosen Solution Hello, I have an iPhone 6 that started having problems after it was dropped and I replaced the screen and battery, at first i I thought it was the battery because it would turn on and be fine for approx 2-3 minutes than the screen would go funny colors and it would reboot, but I replaced the battery yet again and still the same thing was happening. I let it turn on one day and left it locked for a few minutes and viola it worked, but my battery percentage was really strange it would go from 100% to 50% down to 3% and stay there and the only way I knew the battery was low is if it shut off and entered a boot loop....

Switch off and remove the charger from the laptop if it is connected. Remove the battery from the laptop. Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds and then release the button. Connect and switch on the charger and then turn on the laptop and see if it starts....

People keep saying that WiFi antenna is in the screen lid, how about the Bluetooth antenna? Is that in the lid too.? Chosen Solution I’m trying to replace a broken drive in my CECHG03 with one from a CECHL03, but the drives seem pretty different. Is it possible? I know I have to keep the daughterboard but they’re attached to the drive differently? Ones exposed and the other is hidden inside. I think the drive went through 5 or 6 revisions between CECHG and CECHL, with mechanics and electronics changed top to bottom, there is no way to put the board for one to the other, not even the connectors are in the same place....

Chosen Solution Hi, while ago usb cable burned charging port, i replaced connector and it kinda worked,took 6 hours to charge and usb wasn’t detected, ordered new daughterboard, replaced but still same result, i did research and found out that it was IC-VOL. DETECTOR’s fault (sec code: 1203-008487. design loc: U8010) looked up and found kinda simmilar chips on ebay and samsungparts but not sure if it’s the one i need but there’s another problem...

Chosen Solution I recently purchased everything to build a new computer and I took out the AMD ryzen 5800x cpu and then it happened so fast, idk how but it fell onto the floor facing down. With a sickness in my stomach I looked and saw some of the pins have been bent. I very carefully attempted to bend them back into place. I was successful with a few, however there’s a cluster of 4 or five I can’t get back into place, with one that appears to have broken off completely....
