Chosen Solution I have an iBook G4 14" laptop I bought used to give my 8 yo granddaughter for Christmas. I replaced the battery and power adapter. In replacing the battery, the plastic “washer” that keeps the screw from falling out of the case fractured. This doesn’t seem to affect the ability to lock the battery in place, since that appears to be accomplished by a metal latch with a hole in it at the bottom of the “screw hole” that slides horizontally (the battery screw has an off-center “peg” in the bottom that engages that hole and slides the latch)....

Chosen Solution I can’t adjust my disk sleep settings for my secondary hard drive in El Capitan. Any ideas what’s causing this? I only use my secondary platter HD for storageand I don’t need to have it spinning 24/7 when I am on my laptop. Even though I typed “sudo pmset -a disksleep 2” into the terminal I find that it defaults to 10 upon reboot. Any ideas on how to fix it?...

If you have all the necessary equipment and have some micro soldering experience then it’s not too difficult but the average person will not be able to replace it. Chosen Solution how to I clean out a carburetor gummed up with old gas. The engine is a Kohler Courage SV470-610 @joekohler , Joe, remove carburetor and disassemble using rags, carb cleaner, fine copper wire strand, and compressed air, clean carb with carb cleaner out side first then inside thoroughly, probe all passages/ports etc with wire, then carb cleaner and blow out the passages. Chosen Solution When I put a little bit of hard pressure on the middle of my lcd rainbow looking colours are starting to show up. see this image for the colours. I’ve just replaced my lcd. This doesn’t show up when the lcd is not inserted. You also hear clicking noises when pressing 3 cm under the top right corner. Hopefully someone can help me out! This could be an issue with the replacement screen you installed....
Chosen Solution Hi, I have recently taken my Xbox One Controller apart to replace the ABXY rubber mat and when I put it back together it won’t turn on. I can hold the home button down and it’ll turn on but once I release the button it will turn off. Also, I can plug the USB cable from the console into the controller and it works perfectly. If anyone has any answers to why I won’t work properly with batteries I would be grateful....
Chosen Solution The cord has become broken where the wires meet the headset. is is possible to repair or replace the cord when it is that far up the line? So, The wonderful thing about the hyper x II is that you can unscrew the earpiece to access the circuit boards. After that you can actually pull more of the cord thru the hole and repair using a lower bit of wire....

Chosen Solution I recently found a 2012 15in Unibody Macbook Pro from an e-waste bin, and managed to fix it back up enough to where I’m using it daily. I noticed that it would run slow sometimes, especially for compiling code compared to my friend’s 2011 15in Macbook Pro. Upon closer inspection with Cinebench, Task Manager, and Intel Power Gadget, somehow my CPU will not go over 1.4Ghz. Chosen Solution Hi, I’m attempting to repair a Windows 8 Asus Vivobook (Q301LA-BHI5T02) laptop and I have exhausted just about every option. I’m starting to lose hope that I’ll be able to repair it. It seems to be functioning properly internally meaning when I plug it into my computer I can manage my music collection and play directly from my iPod. But when I use headphones, my home audio system, or any iPod docking station I can’t get any audio to come out. Chosen Solution Bravos Dryer pulls threads in woven fabric and tares holes in terry cloth towels. Only ruff spot found is on a 3x5 plastic panel covering something on the back of the drum (looks like it was made that way intentionally), and of course, the metal clasp that closes the door. Dryer is four years old, and runs fine otherwise. @lham carefully check the baffles on the inside of the drum....
