Chosen Solution I’ve done the backlight filter replacement on ipad minis previously, but now I’ve got a mini 3 in with backlight issues, and I’m not sure where the filter and diode are on this model. I’ve identified a couple components (red arrows in pic) that could be the filter, but they don’t look burned like they typically do when they’re bad, and they both have continuity. I’ve also found a couple components that could be the diode (blue arrows), but neither of them has continuity either way....
Chosen Solution Okay SO I bought a phone that had a signal issue (i knew this as seller was honest) and I found a video of the antenna and the ‘material’ thing on top of it had slipped off and managed to fix the signal within a minute. After a day or so signal started going funny again so I took apart my phone again etc etc and when I turned it back on it had the ‘shadow’ on the screen (PHOTO OF EXAMPLE PROVIDED)...

But today, there’s no response whatsoever when I press the power button. I removed the top case to inspect my work and found the wire to the reed switch hanging on by a thread. I tried unplugging everything, holding the power button for 60 seconds and replugging in power cord and holding for 20 seconds. I also tried holding power button and the volume button at the same time. I took the back off and do not see anything obvious like a leaking capacitor. Looked over the SC board especially well....
Chosen Solution Hey, Since recently I get a black screen when I open my laptop or get it out of sleepmode. A short period of time it’s white with triangles or something. You hear the laptop running but I can’t do anything. If I shut it down with the on/off button and restart it. Then there is no problem nor my laptop notices a problem. So I don’t know what to do and it’s pretty annoying to restart the laptop almost everytime it comes out of sleepmode....

Is there a way around using these flaps. I managed to hold it in place and the ipad worked but it fell off again and now the screen does not respond to touch. I use the phone as a wireless IP camera and it does a great job, but I’ve gone through three batteries exploding on me already. It is my old work phone, which I’m allowed to keep and use, but not sell (legal issues). Is there a way to get the phone to THINK there is a battery installed, let it boot, and have wifi work - without installing yet another battery?...

Chosen Solution Some facts: I am still able to turn my Mac ON (details below, may be helpful for someone) It does not react anyhow to power button, I can’t turn it on/off/sleep with power button Top case with power button is not the problem (tested on another Mac) Resetting SMC, PRAM does not really help I am confident it is logic board issue As described above I have late 2006 Core 2 DUO Macbook 13 with some problem that it not reacts anyhow to power button....

It should be listed under ‘Disk Drives’. Check that there are no red crosses or yellow exclamation marks shown next to the listing. I’ve successfully removed the old port and now i am in the process of clearing out the old solder from the circut board. However, it doesn’t want to come out, i’ve tried reapplying more solder and then use solder wick. I’ve tried heating the location up with hot air and get some solderwick down there....

Chosen Solution I have had my screen repaired at one of the cheep asian shops and ever since then i have been getting more and more dust underneath the screen. I can lift the screen up, but would it be a bad idea to wipe the dust off of the LCD and underneath the screen? Use a camera dust blower to blow off the dust. Clean with professional lens cleaning cloth only when the blower does not work well....

The battery LED does not illuminate when plugged in (tried with two different chargers) nor does anything when the power button is pressed. Chosen Solution Hi Guys My Macbook air started to make these weird crackling noises (just like when you’re inserting your headphones on high volume, the crackling you get from your aux touching the aux in) it happens a lot when i open sound files and videos but now it tends to crackle on start up and so on. I tried putting an earphone in, lowering the volume … nothing works EXCEPT when i squeeze the frame of the macbook together on the location where the I/O board is based....
