Chosen Solution A few weeks back I was replacing my friend’s old iPhone 6’s battery. The adhesives strips ripped apart and I was unable to remove it. Then, I used a hair dryer to heat up the chassis and in turn heat the adhesive. I was using a pair of relively sharp pair of tweezers and punctured the battery (the side stuck to the adhesive). I did not notice this till the battery was completely off....

It is old and I thought the drive was ok - never a problem with it, I thought. The old battery # was 616-0232. New one is the same. What gives? It the drive toast? Thanks for any help. Chosen Solution After installing the new battery, I noticed that the shield is raised a tiny bit and not perfectly leveled. Does this mean the connector is slightly larger than it’s supposed to be? Is this normal, or should I be concerned? Btw, my home button doesn’t click properly at the very top AFTER the installation. I’d recommend removing the screen and double check your work again. Unless the battery is swollen, but you should have noticed that before the install, there is no reason the battery or its connector would push against the screen and/or the home button....
Chosen Solution i sat down on my ipad and got up and saw that it bent it in the middle off one side. It had also smashed most of the screen and half of it doesnt work. what should i do If I understand you correctly, the device “sort of” works. I take the bend is on the long side and not the short one. If that is the case, you may be lucky to not have damaged the logic board....
Chosen Solution Can anyone recommend a set of clamps that will help keep the screen bonded while the adhesive dries? I’m asking specifically for xperia z3 screen replacements. Bare in mind how delicate Z3 screens are. I’m looking for clamps that won’t put too much pressure on one point. Cheers guys. Chosen Solution Here’s a weird one – I’ve got a 14" iBook G4 that makes a subtle electronic click sound when the button is pressed. It also makes this sound when the space to the LEFT of the button is pressed, like just pressing on the plastic of the topcase is triggering it as well. Very odd, I know. The sound almost sounds intentional, as if it’s supposed to happen, and it’s very subtle and high pitch, like two pieces of glass or metal lightly tapping....

The IG and DG models are very similar! So you could swap out your IG logic board with a DG board but you will also need a new heat sink. Chosen Solution Hi, I just replaced my macbook’s clutch cover and charging port. When removing the motherboard I accidentally damaged the keyboard connecter, I think, the right side of the keyboard (including the power button, enter, delete, and at least O and P key). Also it no longer turns on anymore, even when connected t charger, but that’s a different matter. In the video you can probably see the connector pushing itself up after being pushed down....

I was recently told that magnetic tools can damage components inside computers like the hard drive, etc. Should I be using this screwdriver for my phone, my laptop or any other PC because of the possibility of ruining components? Tried to turn it on again with a OS disc but didn’t work n the disc couldn’t be eject.. Chosen Solution i’ve tried cleaning out the port, plugging it into different places, restarting it, and i even left it on charge for 8+ hours last night as i slept to try and let it charge some but it only got from 12% to 46%. the percentage goes up very slowly but the logo indicating that it would be charging is not there. i’m going to get a new charger today in hopes it’s just an issue with my cord but i really don’t think so considering the phone is acting this way....
