Today I attempted to change the keyboard and as I went to put all the parts back in place, I connected the battery and soon after saw smoke. I waited for a few and then did the entire install again thinking that maybe I missed a step. On the second try when I came to the end and the battery was to be Reconnected my screen didn’t turn on....
Chosen Solution I have an older unibody 2008 Macbook with a fan running fast and constant. Initially the battery died completely and this somehow prevented any boot up for the computer, dead battery installed, or removed. I bypassed this by holding the power button down while attaching the magsafe, released the power button, pressed it again, and it booted up. Except the fan was full RPM and constant. So far I’ve reset the SMC, PRAM, checked all connections, and even installed some fan control apps, but they don’t even recognize the fan at all....

Should I buy something to replace it? Chosen Solution I can connect the dongle and the computer acknowledges the device with a connection sound. However the remote presenter can not control the presentations. Time function works ok because that is integral to the remote. How do I re-synchronise the presenter to the dongle? Or is it another problem? Thanks in anticipation. Better to do an internet install to set the drive up with the partition then use Migration Assistant to move your data.

The best method is to use cloud software (i.e. Upload to google drive and download on your phone) or use a cable.
