Chosen Solution Hi Guys, The lower third of my (early 2008) EMC2210 imac screen is noticeably dimmer than the rest of the screen. I can still see everything, but it can be a little difficult at times depending on the background. It was flickering for a day or so and I tried resetting the PRAM/ SMC and it came back dim… Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! @atczeero easily possible that this is caused by some bad CCFL’s but just to verify I’d check the inverter....

Chosen Solution Hi, when replacing my battery I was removing the cable that connects the trackpad and the plastic cover on top of the connection broke off. I was still able to get the cable back into the Zif connector and the trackpad and keyboard still work fine. I believe this is the retaining tab mentioned in Step 19 of the battery replacement guide. Is this going to cause me any issues down the line?...

Chosen Solution Now that Blu-Ray has been out for a while, I’d like to intall an internal MCE 12x Blu-ray drive into my 2nd free disc slot on bottom. Is there a proper way to go about this? Chosen Solution Whats the difference between a CDMA iPhone and a GSM iPhone back cover? Why is a GSM replacement cover not compatible with the CDMA? Do you thinks its possible to make it compatible by removing some of the mounting clips or something else? The iPhone 4 GSM and CDMA back covers are different. The mounting frame scew mounts are spaced very differently. there’s no physical difference between 4s and cdma, the difference is in the writing on the back....

Hi Tracey, you don’t give us much information so the answer will be a little speculative. There are some components next to the battery connector that would cause exactly these symptoms. These components are on a line that communicates the charge state of the battery to the CPU and when they are missing or damaged, the CPU has no idea what’s going on and the charging stops....

Chosen Solution Not sure what needs to be replaced, screen isnt cracked. @malaco either a bad screen or a bad screen connector. Chosen Solution Quirky Macbook Pro Sudden power off issues. Battery will be fully charged, BAM!, complete power off. Reset SMC, battery now zero and will need 3 hours to recharge to 100% Unit may work well for a week, no issues. Then back to square 1. Resetting SMC will work kinda, but it’s getting old. New Battery, RAM checked and confirmed good. Unit cleaned for dust. Does not get hot, no high speed fans running....
