Chosen Solution why brake lights dont work Ok lets start with the obvious , check the fuse , if there ok then check the brake light activation switch under the dash on the brake pedal shaft, still no joy then break out the test light and follow the wiring and look for lose of power. Check the bulbs and sockets also check your ground is good . Hope this helps
Chosen Solution I spilled some coffee accidentally on the keyboard, and now 10 keys dont work on the left side of the keyboard, all the other keys work, but its hard to not be able to press all the letters. Is there a way to replace this keyboard? Where can I buy the part online? I think your best bet is to follow the guide to remove the top case. It appears to me that the procedure exposes the back of the keyboard and should allow cleaning to possibly restore full function to your keyboard....
Chosen Solution Acer customer service tells me that the on off switch is an integral part of the mother board and I need to replace the mother board at a cost of over $200. Is there a way to fix the switch or should I just trash it. My internet research indicates that this is a known problem with this unit but I have not yet found a solution. I finally got this fixed this week....

You would need to look at the board numbers and see if they are at least somewhat compatible. Next would be making sure that the connectors are all the same. So, without actually seeing it and comparing the boards it will be difficult to answer....

Chosen Solution Apparantly Thunderbolt 3 is an option at time of purchase on Precision 7520. Does this mean that the Thunderbolt 3 controller is already present on the motherboard? If so, can I have the input socket added? Does the computer have the USB-C/TB3 hole on the board by chance? If not, you’ll also need a new upper chassis as well. I’m doing some research on this, and it looks like the option is a different motherboard so you’d need to change the entire motherboard most likely :(....

BUT when I am (wherever) I so would like to connect my card reader AND a usb drive or such, just having one USB drive is limiting. Fan now only runs at high speed & does not respond to medium or low speed buttons. Have replaced battery. Chosen Solution I bought a replacement screen that included the home button and camera and that part works just fine but where the Home button ribbon meets the bottom half connection point, one of the prongs has broken off so only one of the contact points hits the cable, thus the home button doesn’t work. Chosen Solution My LCD Panel tore in the lower right corner (diagonally). It is functional in the rest of the display. Can I modify the display to only use the remain section (programmatically)? That is, project the image to a smaller area of the LCD. Ouch! Sadly there is no real way to alter the image area so only a section of the LCD is used for the desktop. But you can leverage the given applications window so its over to one side....
Chosen Solution My battery is very slightly misaligned (maybe 1mm at the most?) so I can’t connect the battery connector. Is there any way of fixing this other than taking the battery out and putting it back in? I struggled with the adhesive strips when removing my original battery, breaking them and having to use heat to get the battery out. When removing the battery I had to bend it to a point which I assume it would no longer be safe to use - and I don’t see myself doing any better this time around, and I can’t afford another battery (or to pay £8 for 3-4 day shipping again either)....
Chosen Solution I have made a fresh install of Windows Server 2016 on a Supermicro board with a Supermicro TPM module on it. As OS drive I use a Samsung 850 Evo with SED. After preparing the Samsung drive in frozen state I installed Windows Server 2016 in UEFI mode and the initialized the TPM module under Windows and then turned on Bitlocker. But now 1-2 weeks later I do not the see bitlocker icon on the drive in Windows Explorer and in Computer Management the drive is not marked as Bitlocker encrypted....
