The main problem is the adhesive used to hold the glass on is extremely strong and requires high heat to soften enough for removal....

Usually, suppliers sell batteries which are compatible for 2010-2015 MacBook Airs, even though they originally are not compatible. They have a difference in the voltage, but it will work fine as long as it has the same model number as the original battery....
Chosen Solution I’m trying to replace the battery on an iPod 5G video (30GB). I got the case open (after some drama - I think the plastic got brittle over the last eight years…) but the battery won’t budge. The directions say that the battery will come loose with some prying, but mine seems fused to the case. I’m afraid I’m starting to bend the case itself, and I’m worried I’ll damage the ribbon cable that goes under the battery....
Chosen Solution Hi, I replaced the power button flex cable on an iPhone 5 because the button was not working anymore. I put the whole thing back together, but it won’t turn on anymore. Nothing happens when I hold the power button. When I put the phone on the charger, it starts vibrating every few seconds but doesn’t turn on. I was wondering if someone know a place where i can get the logic board connector for WIFI, Bluetooth and iSight cable. Any help will be appreciated. Chosen Solution Hello folks! I’ve attempted the upper case assembly replacement guide here on iFixit, to replace the keyboard on my 2016 Retina MacBook. I followed the instructions and was careful to completely drain the battery first, make sure the battery LED was turned off inside, etc, and that all screws went back into the same place. After reassembly, the screen will not turn on. Here’s more info about my issue: At first, the USB-C cable “chime” sound and power button boot-sound were very sporadic, sometimes I got the boot sound, sometimes not....
Chosen Solution I recently replaced my Macbook’s battery with the iFixit replacement kit. All appeared to be fine at first, but then I noticed the “Service Recommended” notification reappear and CoconutBattery is now showing my brand new battery has suddenly dropped to 51.5% of it’s design capacity. Chosen Solution We were changing the sata cable and we removed the motherboard for cleaning and changing the thermal compound. In the process, we did something that broke one component close the the lvds connectors, which happen to be burned. Strange thing, is that the computer work fine in the first boot, only in the second this happen. Can someone try to help us get the right components in that area (depicted in the picture) for trying to get a new ones to see if we can get the screen alive....

Any suggestions on what the problem could be? @tracycunn no picture/sound is usually related to a failed main board. First make sure that you have a signal. Disconnect everything from your TV. Unplug your TV and hold the power button down for 60 sec....

Chosen Solution Can i use an M SATA SSD in one of my unused WIMAX slots? if so, can i install windows on it and use it as the main drive That was added in the T420, but the legacy machines (XX00/10) did not get it as it is a PCB revision that cannot be added in firmware. Even on the machines where you have a choice, it’s combined with the WWAN slot so your choice is cellular INSIDE the laptop, or having to carry a hotspot to have an mSATA SSD....
