Chosen Solution My audio in my MacBook Air Late 2010 13" is not working. Everything else works fine like the keyboard and the screen. Turning the computer off and plugging in a headphone and taking it out multiple times fixes the problem but it comes back at random. I was thinking of replacing the IO Board to fix this which I think I can handle given I’ve taken apart other non-Apple laptops which still require caution when doing repairs on them....

Chosen Solution i’ve just replaced my screen myself. after i connected the wires i checked the screen and it worked as it should. i then proceeded to put the screen in place but when i had done that my screen didnt work anymore. it just shoved a light dark color, like it was on but couldnt show anything. i tried to switch back to old screen again to see if it was my new screen that was the problem....

Chosen Solution I’m hearing a buzzing sound while starting the system as well as while playing movies and listening music. But, the buzzing sounds go away if I use headphones. Is there any way to fix the buzzing sound? Then it does sound like you have corrosion damage. You’ll need to open the system up quite far to look for all of the damage. It might make sense to let a Pro do this than your self....

Chosen Solution Changed thermal fuse and fixed heater coil that was grounded. It blew the timer which I also fixed and have Continuity everywhere except the cutoff fuse. It still won’t start. Is this why are is it Control panel issues? Update (09/29/2020) Roper mod# red4640YQ1 What exact model is this? We need to know that in order to try and look at the schematic and yes a bad cutoff can be the issue, but there may be more going on here....

I don’t need long battery time, but without battery I can use this MBP. Thanks a lot for any ideas advice :) As long as it is compatible with the device you should be good.
