That particular component, if left off will probably still allow the computer to run. It’s a capacitor which is ultimately a part of the charging circuit for the battery, but since it has one side on ground is likely intended to keep electrical “noise” off this line. So not integral to functionality....
Chosen Solution I have recently become aware that the 2017 imac does not support spdif through headphone jack anymore. Is it possible to replace the jack with the optical jack from a 2015 model? Sorry no the needed connections are not present for the optical transmitter within the jack. You can get an external USB DAC unit which we use.

Would you guys know if it’s at all possible to swap out my built-in trackpad for the Early 2015 rMBP’s Force Touch trackpad? Can’t seem to find anything about this at all online. Sorry its just not possible. I don’t think it would be possible. It would take a lot of work to put it in there then it would take work, more than likely work you’re not capable of doing, installing the ability for the logic board in your mac to support the trackpad… So simply, it would take too much time if it where possible and simply not worth someone’s time or money to attempt to make it work....

If you have an Error 4013 on an iPhone 7, then you need to determine if it is a Qualcomm or and Intel baseband chipset. The Qualcomm chipset has a high failure rate caused by an internal short within the IC itself. If that is indeed the problem, it is essentially unfixable (Check out the answer here by @jessabethany for more details)....

After 3 days in moisture-sucking rice, I think it still works (for instance, alarms go off - I can even turn them off by swiping the screen in the right spot, and I can connect to a Windows machine and see the drives), but I get no display other than a very faint light. Chosen Solution My 13” MacBook Air Late 2010 is having issues! The long and short of it is that even when I got a new charger for it the thing won’t charge or boot up (constant green light on charger). I’m afraid it may be a logic board failure caused by a bad charger I had for a while, it would only charge when moved a certain way and sometimes you had to take it out and plug it back in so the light would turn orange instead of a dim green, it also heated up a lot and eventually stopped charging at all, the computer did things like drop 20% or more when the charger was removed so its possible the cycles or something got messed up....

Chosen Solution Hello, My sister recently tried to open her iPhone 8 Plus, and during the process, she tore the LCD and digitizer cables cleanly apart, so one end was connected to the mainboard and the other one still on the screen, but the cable is not in one piece. (I can get some pics if that’s confusing) I have since removed the cables from the mainboard and ordered her a new screen (as that’s what I know can be done to replace the cables), but in the interest of saving money (and possibly TrueTone), is it possible to save the screen and just replace the cables?...
Chosen Solution I just got a cassette deck, and only the right spindle turns counter clockwise when you press play, (the other spindle doesn’t spin at all.) And when I press rewind only the left spindle turns. Does anyone know how to fix this? Jacob, this may be normal operation, when one spindle is turning I believe the other spindle will be free wheeling. If you are having an issue with the cassette deck and it is new, return for refund or exchange....
Chosen Solution I have and older Magsafe Adapter from 2009 MacBook pro. It was broken with the general cable issue. I have fixed it, however it’s unused now. I can buy Magsafe 2 repair cable to use with my newer macbook but I don’t know whether the voltage will fit. I don’t want to burn my mac. Your Mac will only pull as much power as it needs. The voltages are the same....
Chosen Solution System is normally on since purchasing new in December 2012. Was working fine yesterday morning but when went to use it last night it was dead. Completely dead - no startup chime no LED on front no sound whatsoever. Took the bottom circular twist cover off and a significant amount of dirt in there. Pretty much a matt filling the circular cover. Disconnected all peripherals and plugged into a known working outlet....
