Chosen Solution What caused this burn This looks like a run capacitor to me. How about telling us the make and model number of your appliance. An electrical issue usually is what causes the run capacitor to malfunction. When the PTC doesn’t correctly indicate the refrigerator’s temperature, the run capacitor won’t know when to turn on. It could turn on too frequently or not at all. When the capacitor is not working properly, usually you’ll hear a clicking sound either before or after the compressor turns on....

Now what❓#JVM3160RF3SS Hi @sissysue , Generally with fuses as long as you replace it with a fuse having the same rating it is OK to do so. Although ceramic fuses do offer better thermal and arc protection than glass fuses which is why they’re used in microwave ovens and other high current appliances....

Chosen Solution I replaced my hard drive with a crucial mx500 I got from the ifixit site. After installing it, I only get a white screen and can’t get into recovery mode. Holding the option button during startup only allows the mouse curser to appear but nothing else populates the screen. Any help is greatly appreciated! I don’t care about recovering any data, I’m purely interested in repairing the device by swapping the necessary components to a working board. I know this is a difficult process. I’ve heard the CPU EEPROMcan be replaced and therefore I’m not planning to change it or read the data from it, however I’ve heard the Baseband EEPROM can’t be replaced without writing the data from the original EEPROM....

Is their another part that can be damaged? You likely have a damaged charge circuit on the logic board. This can be damaged by using non-original chargers and cables (or worse, car chargers). It can also be caused by drops or just plain spontaneous failure....

Can I solder it Hi, If you can open the Tab without too much trouble or damage, ( I cannot find any videos / manuals on how to do this for your Tab), you then need to safely dis-assemble it to remove the systemboard so that you can have access to the charge socket, which is probably mounted on it. If it is only loose and not broken, you will probably be able to re-solder it back into position....
Chosen Solution I have an Apple cinema display 30-inch 2007. I can’t get the resolution up to 1280x800. i changed all connections dvi, hdmi. I work with a 2013 Mac Pro 6.1 and a 2010 Mac Pro. I have two 30-inch 2007 displays and one works fine at 2560x1600 resolution. The other connecting to the same computer only gives 1280x800 resolution. Chosen Solution Because of spontaneous reboots, I tried the AHT online Apple extended diagnostics tool. This gave several different MEM errors. So I started removing each DIMM (each time first removing the battery connector). I couldn’t determine which DIMM was defective, so I started to make a SuperDuper copy before I would reinstall OSX. I rebooted again, so then I reset the SMC (ctrl, shift, option & power-on). From that moment on the MBP is dead, including the adapter is also not lighting up green or orange… I am out of options, does anyone have any ideas?...
Chosen Solution Hi, I found my Macbook (MacBook Air 13" Mid 2012 A1466 EMC 2559) was running very slow (slow boot, login, mouse lag etc.) and its fan was running fast. It was like this even when it was cold, no programs were running, and when on the login screen. I looked in the activity manager and found that kernal_ task was at high CPU usage (>300%). I looked this up using Google and found that this is how Mac CPU throttling is done....

A quick look at eBay shows that replacement screens/digitizers/LCDs cost upwards of a third of what you spent on the tablet. Kinda pricey IMO. If the tablet means a whole lot to you, then by all means, get yourself a replacement screen! To me, it’s just another one of the zillion Android tablets models out there....
