Chosen Solution I’ve got a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop that has Windows Vista OS. I wanted to find out if I can load Windows 10 onto it. General Google search says Windows 10 needs: 1 GHz or faster processor, Ram: 2 GB (64bit) 16 GB free hard disk space MS DirectX 9 Graphics device with WDDM driver This laptop has: Processor: AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-70 2.00GHz Ram: 4 GB (64bit OS) and once I clear old stuff off would have plenty of hard disk space....

Chosen Solution Dell Inspiron 1525 does not see the cd/dvd drive. I can open the drive, but when closed, the drive light flashes several times and nothing happens. Got it fixed - finally read a suggestion to check that dvd drive is seated firmly in the laptop - was slightly dislodged. Thanks to all for your advice!!!! Power off, flip it over and remove/re-insert the drive. I’ve seen optical and hard drives across various brands and models where the drive will get slightly loose....

Chosen Solution Laptop has French keyboard, can I change to US English keyboard? The keyboard is fixed with 3 screws and can be replaced without any problem (Country code is -031 or -B31). There should be some recovery media in your box, so do a clean reinstallation in english and thats it. Refer to the “Service and Maintenance guide” on HP website. Chosen Solution I checked all my fuses and they was all good still no power to my radio&… Hi @greatlakeruler , The amp may need to be “triggered on” from the radio. Here’s a link to the radio wiring harness wiring colours. You need to get to the harness at the back of the radio and check that there is power on the TWO 12V+ power wires and of course that there is a good earth (ground) as well on the appropriate harness connector wires....

Chosen Solution I bought an untested SNES, and after plugging it in, no light would come on. I took it apart to see if there was any obvious damage, but nothing aside from a little corrosion around the power input solder points which I cleaned off. Now, after that, the light will flash on for a moment when I hit the switch, but will immediately turn off. I’m fairly ignorant towards electronics, (i know how to test for continuity using a multimeter and solder/desolder, but that’s about it) so feel free to over-explain if necessary....

Chosen Solution Is there anyway to just replace the power button? Or will I have to replace multiple components? It is also possible that your power button is fine and your power button ribbon came loose. If this is the case, simply slide the ribbon back into its slot on the bottom of the power button and then flip the small white flap to keep it in place. However, you also need to consider the fact that there may be other reasons your laptop won’t turn on....

My friend accidentally dropped something on the screen of my phone, the glass isn’t broken but the screen is black with lines of color and splotches of it as well. Am I able to get my screen repaired, or should I forget about it? I really love the phone so would enjoy having it back… let me know what you think!...

Chosen Solution Powerbook 12-inch 867 Mhz which I got for a song. No battery, but I soon fixed that by transplanting my other powerbook’s good battery into this unit. It was ok for a day but now the battery cannot be detected. It works fine if I move it back to its original unit. Where should I look at next? Everything else works except this no battery detected problem. Update I have replaced the DC-DC Board but it didn’t fix the problem....

Chosen Solution I have an iPhone 6 water damaged. It cleaned and turns on now and working fine. Only problem is the Picture on that is Black & White and there is no any colors . Anyone had this problem before? Please help Have you tried replacing the screen at all? Parts usually get damaged when exposed to water. Also you should test the rest of the phone’s functionality to make sure you don’t have another part that is not working properly....

I’ve bought new display cause i was sure it is broken display, connected it and its still the same. Since that i have checked everything, RAM is soldered to the mainboard and there is no other memory module, i removed internal battery and did CMOS reset by pressing power button for 60 sec....

This evening I fired up my MBP mid 2012/15”, it started booting then halfway (I think this is where the GPU kicks in) I got a solid black horizontal bar 3/4 of the way up the screen and it won’t boot. Specs wise it’s the 2.3GHZ i7 8GB RAM Sandisk X200 ssd 512GB 1TB Seagate Fusion Drive in the caddy. It’s running HS 10....

Chosen Solution Non of the buttons seem to work. Any button you hit it just copy Seth, Unplug printer for 10 min. and re plug to reset and try. If this does not fix you can try deleting and re install printer divers/software and try. If still not functioning, probable bad panel/control board in which case you will have to have a Technician have a look, diagnose and estimate repair. May not be cost effective....

Chosen Solution When I answer or make a call the person on the other end either can’t hear me or my voice is vauge. I have tried making a voice memo normally and with a headset and the normal one is very quite where the headset is loud. Also if I put my phone on speaker phone while making a call the other end can hear me perfectly!! Please Help! Don’t like the fact that other people can hear my whole situation....

Chosen Solution I had something fall on the upper right hand corner of my MB Pro, and in addition to taking out the screen it also dented the uppercase and squished the disk slot enough to keep it from ejecting. Everything else seems to be in good working order, including the keyboard, so I’m going to give it a go at replacing the screen and uppercase. Can I replace the uppercase without replacing the keyboard?...
