Chosen Solution Newish Macbook Air, got water in it… I removed battery to try to save it… put it back in to test (didn’t screw batt down) and when I took the bottom cover back off battery slipped and tore connector off logic board. Am I completely screwed? Logic board may be short anyway as even w some alcohol clean up and the power coming back to the fan I didn’t get it to start… still now I have a NEW problem… I read an earlier answer which didn’t sound very helpful to me as an amateur but was looking for other help…...

Chosen Solution I can jump start other tablet batteries with a 3.7v charging board. My ipad 1 does not power up no matter what buttons I hold down for how long, so I am trying to charge it. Neither side will accept the charge, as the light on the charging board does not come on. A multimeter show a little life in both sides, so I believe I have the polarity correct, but maybe not....

You’re lucky, Ubuntu can read the data. Just copy the data over to the hard drive, then format the SD in win7- fat32 would be perfectly fine. After that copy the data over to the win7 computer....

It isn’t as hard as you think to open up an iPod Nano 6… I mean, by the looks of it the only complicated part is separating the front panel from the case, but if you carefully follow this guide you should not have a problem. Of cpurse you could pay someone to do it for you, but you have to take into consideration the cost… Why spend 70$ (20+50) when you could spare 1 hour of your time to do it yourself?...
