Nope, they’re different. Connectors aren’t the same. Incompatible.
iPad 6 supports apple pencil, this is one improvement compared to iPad 5 on top of few other hardware upgrades. As you can see from the pictures, iPad 5 and 6 use different digitizers (connector location is different)
