Hello Community, i have a problem with an Iphone 7 where the Back Kamera and the flashlight don´t work. When i go to the Kamera App the screen ist black (Tested other Kamera apps too) Also the Flashlight don´t work when i try to use it as light or something else. The Facetime Kamera works well. I take the logic board to another iphone where kamera and flashlight is working. So it seems there is not a problem with the Camera and flashlight, more on the logic board. Can anyone tell me where the controller on the logic board is that i can try to reball it? kindly regards from Austria.
There are several voltage rails supplying the rear camera. You should start by checking PP2V9_UT_AVDD_CONN (U2501) to see if it is properly supplying the voltage. If that looks okay, then check the power rails in the image below.
i had one with this issue as well. when u try to open the camera it was just black on the rear cam front still worked. also the flash said it was disabled and need to cool down. for me it was as simple as replacing the rear camera itself. it fixed both the flash and camera issue.
Maybe it’s software problem… One of my family members got this problem with her iphone 6s but i think her problem is a hardware problem DON’T TRY TO REPLACE THE CAMERA UNTIL YOU CHECK IF IT’S A SOFTWARE OR HARDWARE PROBLEM.. :)
I also experienced similar problem. It happened following to Display replacement … the U shaped pin from right end of the camera connector on logic-board was detached from the PCB….
