Hello, So I had cracked my iPhone 6 screen and, after replacing the screen, my front camera is working as it normally should but when I switch to the rear camera, the camera app freezes. Also, the flashlight does not work. Any ideas how working on the front of the phone could have caused this or how to go about fixing this issue? I have tried restarting the phone, and updating the iOS to the latest version.
Hey, I’ve not long had the same issue, luckily I had a spare iPhone 6 on hand and swapped the rear cameras, no idea how I broke it as I never touched it. I’ve been doing phone repairs for years as well. And it’s weird that the back camera causes the back flash not to work, considering they are now separate units and not on the rear camera itself, as soon as I replaced rear camera, both rear camera and flashlight worked!

My back camera and flashlight on IPhone 6s+ stop working after I damage flex cable from rare camera and earpiece.I did replace it and everything back to normal.So anyone who have this issues shoul check flex cable and also if you’re earpiece is working or not.Seems like back and front camera,flashlight depend on each other,but someone mention it not.So that solution may work for someone :)
You just need to purchase a new camera on Aliexpress or wherever you purchase and replace the old one for the new one. That will make it work. In the future be sure to turn off the iphone and unplug the battery before you replace a screen - that will prevent that from happening ever again.

I had the same problem with my iphone after i dropted it. So when i replaced it, it had the same problem. Maybe when you conected the ports may not be conected well. Or maybe the wires are damaged. I sugest to open the phone and look any lose wires. Or the wires are not compatable with the phone.

jumper solution on U2301 is not recomended best solution is replace the component .. anyway this is only on issue for both camera error no for rear camera only.
